My DH is soooooo uber excited about doing this, I surprised him for his b-day, he is doing the Rookie Experience on April 8th on WDW. I cannot wait to watch him do it. :banana: My ? is: How close do I get to be in order to take pictures? Where will they let me stand? Hang out at?

So would you say 1st floor or 4th floor rooms are the best overall? I am wondering if the first floor would be better, close to the pool or the 4th with a balcony?

So when / if I check in on-line there is a spot to check for upgrades available? with the price? forgive me, I am an amateur when it comes to travelling and especially flying

So do I ask when I get to the ticket counter? As I'm checking our bags? Do I ask for that on the way back too? What a novel idea...thanks so much! This forum rocks da house!!!

I have been advised to ask for a free upgarde, I don't know if it happens lots but it has happened to people I know. As a first timer (who is already discussing the next trip) it would put me in a magical moood. :wizard:

So I guess everyone has the same plan *groan*, lets hope not everyone does this, otherwise afternoons at the parks will be easier to get around. We have 2 days where we are staying out for the day, so those will be early nights, maybe some late night swimming? With heated pools this Canuck...

I just looked into upgrading and the cost would be $250, bummer but I'll pay the baggage cost, must less....we are only checking one bag each, so $90 is much less.

wow! I am thrilled and in total awe of this thread, 1) because I have already decided to go early, come back and then stay late with my DD (age 7). 2) because I cannot fathom the crowds that will be there 3) because I've already told myself it will be busy and crowded and made myself promise...

Can someone tell me where the thread is that tells you the tips and tricks to being a savy WDW go'er? I have read about going early, come back to resort, stay late but is there more, what are the secrets I am missing? This will be our first trip! I want to be relaxed and not upset or stressed.
