A brief Rhine River Cruise Review

Wow. I have a deposit on a Rhine cruise for next summer, and I booked it based on the excursions. I am having second thoughts now, because I have a 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter who were sold on this trip based on the excursions (zip-lining, canoes etc.). I am now looking at other...

Doing Rhine River next summer. Questions about pre an post cruise travel

We are doing the Rhine cruise next summer as well, and I am having the same dilemma. The plan right now is to spend the weekend somewhere in Switzerland prior to the Monday cruise departure, and then take the train to London at the end of the cruise for 4 or 5 days. I considered Paris (and...

Planning trip to Oahu but not staying at Aulani

If you like the Ko'Olina area, but don't want to stay at Aulani, look at the Beach Villas on VRBO. We stayed in a three bedroom villa, which was two lagoons away from Aulani, and loved the property and the area. We had a villa with two master bedrooms and a third room for the kids, full...

    Rhine River Cruise Meets Thread

We have booked the July 30, 2018 Rhine cruise as well! Me, DH, DS (16 at time of cruise), and DD (13 at time of cruise). Hoping that there will be quite a few teens on this cruise, as I am still working on convincing my son that he will have fun even though this is quite a different vacation...

Any feedback on "Resort for a Day"

I booked day passes for the family through Resort for a Day on Jamaica last summer and had a wonderful experience. Each resort is different, but ours included transportation to and from the resort, lunch, use of all the facilities at the hotel, and the showers to rinse off before departing...

    Falmouth, Jamaica Excursions

Look into a day pass at Hilton Rose Hall through Resort for a Day. We were picked up at the end of the cruise terminal and taken by a bus to the resort. We were checked in and on the beach by 10:00 AM, and the pass included lunch and drinks. There is a nice lazy river, a few pool slides, a...

Oh good! Thank you. I didn't know they would be released on a different date!

    Barcelona ABD Pre-Cruise for 2015?

Does anyone know if the ABD Barcelona pre-cruise trip will be offered for the Med cruises next summer? I was hoping to see it on this latest release, and it's gone from the destinations list now!

What would you do with a day to yourself at WDW?

Hall of Presidents! I can't drag any family members in there with me. Then I would leisurely stroll through all the MK shops, hop the monorail and head to Epcot to do World Showcase on my own - preferably during the Food & Wine Festival, with the emphasis on the wine part! If I had time, I...

Rain.... Which park? What would you do?

We spent a rainy day at DHS, and it was fine because almost everything is inside and close together.

Leaving parks after fireworks, fantasmic, etc?

Having done this with two young children, I know how important it is to get out quickly at the end of the fireworks. The kids have had it, and to wait around for another hour as the crowds leave often won't cut it for the little ones. About an hour and a half (yes, that long) before the...

    HHI Pool Party

Does anyone know how early in the summer season the pool parties on Tuesday nights start? Or do they have them year round? Same question with the fireworks at Shelter Cove, which I know are just in the summer, but when do they start? We are looking at going to HHI the last week of June next...

    HHI Dolphin tour

We went on a dolphin tour with Commander Zodiac, on a zodiac raft, and had the best time! We were the only ones on the boat, and the captain took us first to a giant sandbar off of HH where we walked around for about 45 minutes collecting shells and sand dollars and watching live starfish and...

    Hilton Head 2 bedroom question

We just stayed in building 22 (room 2222 to be exact) in a 2 bedroom, on the second floor with a marsh view. The buildings are only two stories tall as far as I could tell. Loved it! I just wouldn't want a pool view - too noisy and no privacy!

Anyone for HHI 2011? Roll call time!

I just returned from a very hot, muggy week in Hilton Head and got one mosquito bite the entire week. I was pleasantly surprised with how un-buggy it was! We ate outside every evening, attended the outdoor movie, and swam until 10:00 PM and sat on our balcony in the mornings and evenings - no...

Our First Trip to Hilton Head, Y'all! We are SOLD!

Can't wait for more - we are leaving next Wednesday from NJ, driving to Williamsburg for a day and a half, and then on to HHI for a week. Thanks for the tip about 1-95 through Washington. I was debating I -95 vs. DelMarVa penninsula and the Bay/Bridge tunnel, and that comment made up my mind!

    HHI pool question

Thank you! Just added noodles and dive toys to the packing list. The kids will be thrilled; our town pool does not allow any kind of floats or toys in the main pool!

    HHI pool question

Are pool toys allowed in the pools at HHI? Things like noodles, dive toys - not a full size raft or anything, just small floats and toys. Thanks!
