    Storybook Land Canal Boats

A few weeks ago we caught it at about 8:40 AM before heading to Toontown, so I think it's probably opening at rope drop. We waited maybe 10 minutes; I think there were at least 3 boats.

    Tropicana or Camelot?

We stayed at the Camelot last week and it was good. We had a 2 queen room and there was just enough room to squish an inflated twin-sized air mattress in-between the bed nearest the bathroom and the bathroom wall. I don't know the dimensions of a pack and play, but I assume that would be...

    5 at the Grand Cali

A standard room (nothing DVC-style; just the Grand Californian) fits a twin-sized air mattress fine. We stayed with 4 adults and an air mattress with no issues. The mattress fit in the corner near the balcony. If I had a family of 5, I'd probably look into another on-site option, but if...

    Big Hero 6?

A week ago, they still had the Big Hero 6 signage up at the theater where they used to show Captain EO, but there's no show there. Star Traders seemed to have the most merchandise, but it was still pretty limited. The balloons were very cute, though. I saw a Baymax-head apple at Marceline's...

Current Fastpass situation for Radiator Springs Racers

Both days we visited this week (3/15 and 3/16, quite busy days) when DCA had extra magic hours, FPs were at about 6:30-7:30 return times by about 10:30 AM. I'm not sure if the pace was any slower on the day when DL had the extra magic hour (I got to the machine earlier and got an earlier FP...

    Urgent PP+ voucher question

Code should be with the CD at home (mine was/is). I'm sure your CD will turn up. Good luck!

Too excited to sleep! GC hotel

Yes, there is a viewing area! It is somewhere on the 5th (?) floor, looking out at Paradise Pier. There's even a little bathroom up there.. In 2012 (when I actually won a contest here to have 2 nights at the GCH), they were testing the winter World of Color show after hours. So you can see...

    DCA at Spring Break--no Frozen

I like how you think! If it were me, I'd probably do RSR first and then TSMM to avoid backtracking (well, for everyone but the FP runner :) ) but your order sounds fine too. The line for RSR single rider could be a bit longer once you double back, but the crowds to get to the ride should be...

My Disneyland dining reviews, with pictures

So outside Toontown, a Cast Member saw my Duffy and then told me that he kept asking Duffy to go out to dinner and Duffy said, "No thanks; I'm already stuffed." ::rim shot:: But seriously, it was hot so I didn't eat so much this trip. Pizza from The Pizza Press! It was right beside our hotel...

Too excited to sleep! GC hotel

I adore the World of Color viewing area--not to watch World of Color, but to look down at beautiful Paradise Pier early in the morning or later at night. The main lobby and architecture can be enjoyed by anyone visiting, but the viewing area requires a room key. I also love the toiletries!

    Does anyone know of.....

You might be best off asking in the DISabilities forum. I THINK all of the walkways at DL can slow down to board (but probably not the sidewalk at the END of Haunted Mansion...which would make a big hill even for her if it stopped anyway). I don't know if she might need to get a DAS pass so...

    Need DCA morning help!

If they will/can have multiple days in DCA (or if they have hoppers), another option to meet Olaf is to try Olaf's Snow Fest at night. Two nights this week, we went into the Olaf's Snow Fest area an hour or two before DCA's 10 PM closing with absolutely no wait at all. When we first went in on...

More hotel help and a possible intervention please

I THINK when Soarin' re-opens, which is scheduled for mid-May. http://www.disboards.com/threads/condor-flats.3376129/ I believe the Disney Parks blog confirmed that when Smokejumpers Grill (formerly Taste Pilots) opens later this month, the whole path will NOT open up...

So I forgot to order Photopass+ Get it there or skip it?

If you want 2 or more ride photos (or are doing character dining), I'd splurge for Photopass+. Otherwise, just buy a regular Photopass disc when you get home.

More hotel help and a possible intervention please

I briefly visited the Grand Californian on Tuesday. Currently, Condor Flats is walled off, and my understanding is that it will remain walled off during your trip. If so, that means that it is a fairly substantial walk from most of DCA to the entrance to the hotel that is in DCA, since you...

    ECV and Fastpass at Disneyland

So we managed to ride the coasters Mom wanted to; thank you for the help! My mom wasn't feeling well on her first day :( and it was really hot and quite crowded and she got there late, so she only stayed a couple hours before she had to leave. :( But she had a beach/alone day to recharge, and...

    Merida at Ariel's Grotto?

This Monday afternoon, it was Rapunzel and Ariel alternating in front of Fantasy Faire, so I imagine that varies. My friend was really hoping to meet Merida but it never happened. (It wasn't until the last day of our trip that my friend started asking any CMs about her, and we didn't get back to...

A Few Questions about Disneyland with Mobility Challenges

If you are walking to the parks from a "walking distance" hotel, that in and of itself very well might be enough to do your mom in. A wheelchair or an ECV/scooter (which would allow her to drive herself) is probably the way to go. If you get a scooter and are within walking distance, rent from...

Tips for mobility issues at Disneyland during busy time?

My mom uses an ECV/scooter in the parks and I find that DCA is overall an easier park to get through. The walkways are wider, I think there are fewer curbs, and the lines in DCA are mainstreamed, so your SIL can go through them with her wheelchair (or ECV if she ends up with one). She even...

    Fast Pass for whole Family?

If by chance you are getting a Fastpass to get viewing for any sort of show (World of Color, Fantasmic!, and probably even the Anna and Elsa shows), make sure that you are all given a Fastpass to the same section/showtime. It must be very rare for someone in your party to get a different...
