    Which hotel?

I agree its worthwhile to switch to Sapphire Falls for the water taxi alone. However, its a very easy walk from Aventura to SF where you could still utilize the water taxi. Just depends on the price for me.

Solo lunch and dinner recommendations in the hotels and CityWalk?

We always stop at the bar at Antojitos for drinks and guacamole, but would definitely eat a meal there too. The bartenders are always lively and friendly, and the bar is essentially part of the dining room so feels like one space. Its easy to get a seat when they open at 4pm, but if you go a...

Breakfast at The Kitchen in HRH?

For those of you who have done the buffet recently, have you done it before covid? We haven't been to the Kitchen since pre-covid, but at the time, it was our favorite breakfast on property. We had been waiting to return until things were more "normal", so I'm just curious how the current...

My First "Real" Trip To Universal. I have some questions.

So are you paying for EPs? Often, staying at Hard Rock, Portofino Bay, or Royal Pacific where EPs are included is cheaper than staying elsewhere and paying for EPs each day. That might not be the case for a solo traveler, but just throwing it out there for comparison or future consideration. I...

    Building Excitement for Aulani Trip

Take a look at some of the older threads on the Aulani board to help build your excitement. While some of the older info is outdated, it will still give you good ideas as far as places to go, tips, things to eat, etc.

    Tony Hinds transportation

I haven't used him since before Covid, but at the time, I had to ask to pay by credit card in advance so he could send me an invoice. I think an invoice is something he only sends upon request. Otherwise, I know he takes cash. I'm not sure what the option is if you want to pay by credit card day...

Kings Cross Station wait time with EP?

When we were there, the posted HE wait time was 75 minutes and we didn't have EPs. We walked in probably 15 minutes. But, we were in the direct sun and quite sweaty by the time we got to the other side!

Beaches and Cream, table for 5?

The restaurant expanded and has more than doubled in size since the renovations. They have tables that can accommodate varying party sizes now. Its a popular spot, but the table configuration exists if you can find availability.

Kings Cross Station wait time with EP?

We were there two weeks ago and the line for HE going from UO to IOA was always long. Its definitely faster to walk, but it just depends on the stamina of your group... you'll be walking from the back of UO up to the front, across and past Hard Rock and Toothsome, and then into IOA... possibly...

Is Univetsal still using the virtual queue for Velocicoaster/Hagrid's Motorbike?

We were there two weeks and Hagrid's was VQ for a little while on Saturday, but not the whole day. Velocicoaster tended to have shorter standby times than Hagrid's.

Fun things to do at Citywalk?

We're two adults, no kids, and have done the mini golf before. Cute for what it is but its a busy course with people always behind you or you're always waiting too. We enjoy getting drinks and taking in the dueling pianos at Pat O'Brien's at night. Its better later on as more people come in...

    How many nights?

If your time at Aulani is not going to be used for sightseeing, 3 nights would be good for me. The resort is relatively small and can feel crowded, especially depending on time of year. In the current environment, I believe dining options are still somewhat limited. But even if they weren't, 4...

Am I the only one who thinks Raglan Road is overrated?

I got the pamersan garlic fries too - good flavor but my fries were a little under cooked and soggy. And the fish was just hard and dried out. I presume overcooked. We've always had excellent fish at Rose & Crown, and also at Universal. Must have just been the product of a busy evening...

Am I the only one who thinks Raglan Road is overrated?

Thanks for all the replies. I totally get that its subjective... all restaurant reviews are. They may have even just had an off night with us, and that's fine too. I was just disappointed with the experience after all the hype I see this place get. Its often recommended. Thought it would be an...

    City works

DH and I tried it here last October, shortly after they opened. I think we just had burgers. We remember the food being fine, but nothing about the food or atmosphere was anything to write home about for us. We both agreed that it would be a good place to watching a sporting event or football on...

Am I the only one who thinks Raglan Road is overrated?

I've been wanting to try Raglan Road at Disney Springs for years, and finally had the opportunity last Saturday. We were staying off-site doing a Universal-only trip, but spent Saturday evening at Disney Springs. I had an 8:30 reservation. We were sat around 8:45, and put in a dark corner of...

30 Years & Counting HHN 2021, XXX Let’s Stick This One!

Hi all! DH and I attended HHN last week. I've been so busy the last few months that I've not had the chance to keep up with HHN reviews and the threads here. I'm curious to know what everyone's opinions on it this year was? What's the general consensus? We have been to the last 5 or 6 HHNs, and...

    Island hopping

I've heard this before too. But I will say, when we were there for 4 days in late September, we didn't have one drop of rain. It was noticeably warmer and more humid than Oahu and Maui when we were there though. We also found Maui to be extremely windy the whole time we were there - so much so...

Rides when your pooh sized and/or tall

The rides I listed seem to be the biggest challenges for people, everything else was accommodating. Each of these rides have test seats out front where you will pull the restraints closed. If the light turns green, you'll be good. Its sometimes embarrassing/awkward, at least for me, to use the...

Just back from first stay at CBBR. Some thoughts...

I definitely recommend RPR - its the best value for proximity with EPs. That said, I don't think you'd need EPs in mid-January, but its always our first choice if budget and availability allows. I think we've stayed in all three towers at RPR and they're all equally good. The distance between...
