Charging things (eg, shopping, meals) to the hotel bill

When you check in at one of the Disney Hotels and give the receptionist your credit card details, you will be given a card which can be used to charge any purchases made in the park (including restaurant bills) directly to your hotel account to be settled at the end of your stay. BTW, any...

    New Years Eve?

Hi noodlesmum, Both parks have been open until 1am the last couple of years with fireworks in both parks. I think the reasoning behind this was an attempt to reduce the crowds in the main park but I'm not sure how successful this has been. It can be very cold and it will be exceptionally...

    Room Service at DLH

We used room service to have a bottle of wine and a cheese plate after the kids had gone to bed. Service was prompt and when we'd finished we just put the tray outside the door and it was gone soon after. I remember thinking that it was relatively expensive for what it was but the bread was...

    DLH question

I honestly can't remember what we tipped them on our last visit but I'd say that it was EUR 20 - EUR 30 in total split between a tip when we arrived and one when we left.

    DLH question

It's free for guests. That said, the CM who unpacks your luggage and escorts you to the check-in always appreciates a tip :)

    Room Charges

Main benefit is that you can opt to have your purchases available for collection in the hotel rather than having to carry them around with you. It also means that you just have one bill to settle at the end of your stay.

    WiFi at DLP

OT: Paris restaurants - not too expensive

Do dlrp check ages upon check in?

In my opinion, the actions of anyone who lies about their childs age (be it someone who says that their 3 y.o. is only 2 or that their 12 y.o. is only 11) is tantamount to theft and not only costs the rest of us more in the long run, but also exposes themselves to potential issues for insurance...

When Everyone is going to Disneyland Resort Paris!

Unfortunately we've had to cancel this trip due to unforeseen business commitments at the time of booking - I'm in the process of launching a new business (well it's really an extension of my existing business) and Christmas and New Year is a really key time and I can't risk being away at this...

    Castle Club

Hi Jesleigh, We did something similar to ClaireW when we stayed at the Castle Club last New Years. We'd get up and have a coffee and croissant at around 7:30 before going into the park for EMH. We'd then go back to the Castle Club lounge for our proper (cooked) breakfast at 10:45. This would...

    Internet access as Disney Paris

I certainly had no issues with the WiFi access in our room when we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel last New Years. Like you, I also needed access work via my laptop and it worked a treat. The only issue I has was forgetting to note down the Orange network logon details before closing my...

Thinking of going by ferry and car

I really would look at the costs very carefully when comparing flying and car hire with self-drive. Stranraer to Disney is approx. 700 miles each way. At 35 mpg that works out at £200 for fuel. Tolls in France are going to be another £30 -£40. Then you have accomodation costs for a night each...
