We just got back, and found the fridges to be small but useful for our needs. We don't have any kids and therefore don't really bring food with us, but it was great for storing some leftovers and beverages. I'm sure that if you get creative about it, you could fit quite a bit of food in there...

I would say that if you want 3G - go Kindle, if not and you just want Wi-Fi, go for the newest Nook (aka Simple touch reader). Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Kindle is probably due for an upgrade pretty soon, so it's not a bad idea to take that into consideration as well. Most Best Buys now...
