    DAS Help

They can - I have done this many, many times at the front desk, it's actually the reservation CM's that can't do this as it can't be done until check in. Of course they don't have to, they can just pay for their son. ETA - there are so many "one of" situations that yes sometimes you have...

    DAS Help

I think Disney does a great job with DAS and we don't yet know how they will accommodate the OP. What's to stop a person from removing the bracelet and riding? (again, not saying the OP would!) As for the family you met - all they have to do is book the package with the DDP for everyone...

    DAS Help

OP did Not have a valid Genie+ reservation for herself, only the GD, that is why they could not enter the LL. CM's have no way of knowing if the OP actually rides or not. (I am not indicating the OP would ride!) If the OP doesn't get at DAS for the GD then the other option would be to...

Epcot IG Skyliner - avoid the long line at the end of the day?

Just want to clarify even though the line looks long it moves very quickly. You basically walk up the hill and then turn around and walk back down the hill :) I have never waited an hour for the skyliner including NYE when we left with the crowd right after the fireworks as my dd was too...

Should I force my kids to go to Disney?

This is true - when we let my nephew decide each day we had Un-expiring tickets that could be used day of with no advance planning and the extra teen didn't affect room size. Today's Disney is a bit more complicated in that regard! At that time my sil felt that to take into consideration...

Should I force my kids to go to Disney?

I would not force them especially the "adult" and considering the costs. Mirroring others I would have a conversation as to what they did and didn't like about your prior trips and see if that sheds some light as to what you could do differently. Off the bat you say you're a rope dropper...

    DAS for Brain tumor?

I second this - I use a DAS and don't have mobility issues. For fireworks and Fantasmic I budget for a dinner package or dessert party to make things work for me or I skip it and let my kids go without me. The MK dessert party is a great option for me - prior to this I had only watched from...

Can my picky "Disney adult" kids order off the kids menu at TS?

It has been hit or miss with us depending on the restaurant and even the server as we have had different experiences on different days at the same restaurant. With my niece we have her prepare for a few different scenarios if its someplace we really want to visit that she might have a hard...

If I modify my reservation to one less night, will I lose the special rate?

In my experience, if you can't book it new you can't modify it online. You can try by going through the process and if what you need isn't an option just back out. eta - sometimes the phone CM can override but it's been less than 50/50 for me.

Help! Grandparents trying to plan a family WDW adventure and overwhelmed!

Has anyone in the party been to Disney? If so, they would be a natural lead, if not I would find out what everyone's expectations are for the trip and make sure they take some responsibility for their own vacation. If you can get everyone together for a planning dinner - maybe adults only...

    Traveling with our Niece

You don't need anything to fly with your niece - I do/did it all the time with my nieces and nephew who have different last names and different ethnicities. TSA may ask her full name only to match it to the ticket, they don't care who is traveling with you. Having her insurance card will be...

Fun things to do with preschoolers outside Disney World

Animal Kingdom Lodge- there are lots of activities in addition to the safaris and a great playground. Head over to pop century (you will probably have to use Disney transportation to do this) and explore the giant Icons, playgrounds and take a ride on the Skyliner. The boardwalk has...

    Turo Experiences & Questions

I had a few conversations with my State Farm agent, they do cover a Turo rental and I have the paperwork to confirm it. My dd needed a long-term rental for a job in Anaheim and a traditional car rental was much too expensive as was driving a car from the east coast. She found an older model...

    Yep, Another Transportation Question

I have also never encountered surge pricing - even on Christmas eve when my daughter needed a last-minute ride from her Anaheim apt to our Disney resort.

    Yep, Another Transportation Question

Mears is hit or miss; I have had 3 great experiences with 2 or less stops each way but my dd has now had 2 awful experiences with a combo of "onsite" an "offsite" hotel stops. I travel fairly often, and use rideshare vs cab - I like that you know the price of your trip when you book and then...

What age for a one parent trip?

I took my oldest just before she turned 3 and we had a great time. Took both my dd's solo when they were 2 and 4 and every year thereafter. You have to plan and take things slow, the right stroller, backpack as a diaper bag, plan for meals etc. If your used to doing things alone with them...

    Pixar Place rooms

Now I am getting nervous - when you say the PP is far away what does that mean? We have stayed offsite and used the ART for drop off. Will staying at PP be further than that walk or closer? What is the closest to the parks in order of the three? Also is the hotel entrance/exit for DCA to PP...

    Pixar Place questions

Very helpful, I need to save my steps! We are starting in CA on day one and ending in CA on day two so this is a great benefit especially after WOC on day 2.
