Do You Want This Ride Now?

I can't be the first person whose initial thought was "jousting tournament" at this idea.

    Cars Land is a go????

If they want something quick then develop a Pixar Place where they can add smaller rides and attractions that would be easier to change out as the interest in a movie fades. Afterall, isn't Cars one of the generally least well received Pixar films?

What disney expansion rumor is better?

Seems to me going with a more general Pixar Place over a very specific Cars Land would be a better idea. It would lend itself to refreshes much more easily. And really, isn't Cars one of the more not so good Pixar films? I would think it won't have the legs of other movies. How about a...

To bring (the DSLR) or not to bring, that is the question...

Bring it, if you decide not to use it leave it in the safe in your room. At least you'll have it if you want it.

    Polaroid at Disney?

I like polaroid frames and the matte from above. I have also seen some home made autograph books that have a signature page on one side and a place for a photo on the other.

    Aperture or Lightroom?

I think this is the right way to go. Use the trials, see which works best for you. But don't forget the educational discounts for Lightroom. If you are an educator or have any kids in school you can get a good discount on Adobe software.

    SD cards.........do you reuse yours?

Whatever makes their world go 'round right? I figure the whole point of SD or compactflash or even those great smartmedia cards from way back was so you could reuse them. Then again, my dad the conflicted technophobe pretty much has a drawer full of cards he's filled up. But that's...

I know cables and drivers are an issue at this point, sometimes ebay is the answer for these things. Or even search through reddit. There are lots of photography and techsupport subreddits there that might be able to help. It's not all pictures of cats. That also follows along the line of...

That data isn't really lost, it's simply a matter of hooking up those old devices and copying the data off. I don't know of a digital photo format from that past that can't be read today. I still have some old digital photos from an ancient Sony digital camera that stored the pictures on a...

other tablets in regards to uploading photos...

One thing I'd check into with a tablet, is being able to use the tablet as a middle man between your camera and for example a site like SmugMug. I've heard it is possible to connect a camera to tablet and upload the photos directly from the camera to a website. I haven't done this...

When to use optical zoom? Whenever you want a closer shot of something. When to use digital zoom? Pretty much never.
