Have a great trip. We were there April 6 to 11. I don't think it ever got much over 20 C. We had to wear sweaters most of the time. No rain at least.

The Homewood was a great hotel. Very new and clean. We had a suit with two bedrooms and two full baths. The middle room had sofa bed and full kitchen. All three rooms had HD flat screen tv's. We need the big room as we're a family of 6. The pool was a nice size and the hot tub was large...

We'll be doing a 15 hour drive from Hay River, Northwest Territories to Calgary, Alberta, followed by a 3 hour flight to LA. You can check out the 12 Foot Davis Center in Peace River, or the West Edmonton Mall.......I know, not what you had in mind. Couldn't help it.

We'll be driving from LA to San Diego on Sunday April 12. I've been thinking about stopping to check out the mission with my family. Is it worth it? Is there an entry fee? How long does it take to see the place?

jlmarr, Thanks for the reply. I booked Primetime Shuttle the other day. Yeah, it's not easy to get there from the north. First time for my wife and 4 kids. I was there a kid with my family in the late 70's. We flew down from Yellowknife for that trip. We're flying from Calgary...

I'll be with there with my family on that day. If we see the band with the kilts I'll snap a few pictures and send them to you.:)

Is it Spring break for you guys in LV or Spring break in LA? I hope it's spring break for most of the schools in LA now. We're going for a family Disney visit April 6th to 11th and everybody has been saying that's spring break down there and it will be super busy. Enjoy your visit.:)
