    CBR, Pop or ASMovies

I haven's stayed at ASMovies, but did stay at Pop back in Feb. I loved being able to hop on a bus there and go directly to the park. It's my understanding that the other value resorts share buses and make more stops getting to and from the parks. Pop had a very nice food court, and the rooms...

PreK or Preschool? A parental quandry.

We are struggling with this with our children. My DS is an August b-day and DD is a November birthday. They are only 3 months apart, but DS can start K at age 5, while DD must wait until age 6 (Sept 1 cut-off). I agree that giving your child another year of childhood is a wonderful gift. I...

How early do you bring your kids to WDW?

I voted for 3+ years. We took our young 2-year-olds to WDW in February, and it was too early for them. The first 2.5 days were truly magical, but by the third day they were becoming cranky and overtired from all the stimulation of WDW and the resort. We actually left two days early. We don't...

    How Often Do You Go?

I've been many times as a child and adult, and to me it is always magical, and I can't wait to return. My DH lived a hour away from WDW as a child, and is luke warm on Disney. We made our first trip in February and hit a cold snap, that my two children (2-year-olds) didn't enjoy. They...

    3 kids...7, 4 and 6 months- 1 double or 2 single strollers?

We owned a Graco Quattro front-to-back double and a Combi side-by side double stroller, but I purchased two Combi Urban singles for our trip to WDW in February. I decided to do singles for the following reasons: 1. Our kids get hostile with each other in the strollers when they are tired...

how old is too old for strollers? LOL

I wouldn't get a stroller for the 9 year-olds. I read a book about the parks before going that mentioned great places for unwinding while in the park. Also, plan your days around scheduled low-times (taking in a show you all want to see after a few hours of rides) to even out the day for the...

    Whatever.

I would have mentioned it to a CM. I know you didn't have much to go on for a description, but it could have helped if he tried snapping pics of other young girls, and those families complained as well. My children are Guatemalan, and I get comments on how beautiful they are all the time...

OT - organizing school papers - any tips?

I would have a binder for each child and keep things by 9-week grading period, quarter, etc. As a former middle school teacher, I know computer gliches happen. I once lost a grade due to a network problem, but had already handed back the quiz from the previous Friday. Most students simply...

Is it worth it to quit my job?

We adopted two children Spring 07 and I was on maternity leave through the end of the school year. I chose to stay home the last 2 years. We moved this summer closer to my family and DH kept his job from our old state, but I agreed to return to work for financial security (in case his job...

    Seeking tips for multi-generational trip!

I've never done this at WDW, but my extended family would meet at a park in OH each year. I had one aunt that always wanted things her way if we were touring together as a group. I highly suggest having your own plans and meeting up for specific things (fireworks, character meals) to keep the...

Bringing my own stroller-a few ???

We have two 2-year-olds and just made a trip in Feb 09. We own a Combi side-by-side and a Graco front-to-back double stroller. We opted to sell the Combi double and buy two Combi urban single strollers. We liked being able to seperate the children if one child didn't want to ride something or...

Not yet 3 y/o... Do I need proof?

When I was planning our trip for Feb 09, I heard a few people had been given a hard time over their child not looking less than 3 years old. Personally, no one asked us, My DD is 3 this Nov but looks like a 4-year-old. However, Tusker House tried to charge us for 4 meals even though my kids...

OT - but need some advice from other clomid mommies

Definitely do the HSG. My cousin and I both became pregnant with Clomid after this procedure, and so do many others. My cousin delivered, but my pregnancy was an empty sac, so I had a D&C at 10 weeks after no heart beat confirmed. My RE did say she would give me no more than 6 rounds of...

    Dh Relocating alone

We haven't done this but my DH has taken 3-4 weeks international trips often, and I was managing a household and 2 infants with no family nearby. It's really tough, but the time goes by quicker than you think. We will be doing this sometime in the next 1-2 years as we plan to move near my...

    2 year old at T-Rex?

It's so hard to know what they will and will not like at this age. My two 2-year-olds were not afraid of characters or the Rainforest Cafe, but the DinoLand play area with the roaring dinosaur reduced them to tears and screaming. We were really upset that the play area was not toddler friendly...

    Stroller question

FYI, if you buy one of these bring a laminated sign in a bright color to attach to it with plastic ties (we made ours at Staples). We ran into a lady that had 3 of these strollers stolen from her on prior trips because she did not label it well or with something not easily detachable.

    Whole Milk Question

I just wanted to mention I saw a show about milk. Did you know whole milk is only 3% fat, so you are talking about a very insignificant amount of fat to switch to 2%. This convinced me to keep my two 2-year-olds on whole milk because they are healthy weights, and it has not contributed to any...

    Feeling guilty

I agree with others. We met a co-worker of DH's while visiting. We did dinner and fireworks, which is nice to spend time together without compromising your and their touring plans.
