    Reusing my magic band question

I have magic bands from our last trip 2.5 years ago. This time we are staying offsite and I have tickets I've already loaded on MDE which still has my active MBs. Do I need to worry about their age? I'm going to carry my tickets also just in case but do I need to do anything else? Other advice...

Only 2 of 4 magic bands showing in MDE

Oh!!! That makes sense!! The girls made their own accounts but of course my husband is leaving it all to me and didn't!! Thanks for clearing that up for me!!

Only 2 of 4 magic bands showing in MDE

we leave in 13 days (eeeek!!!) and I'm checking to make sure I have everything ready! I was looking in MDE under Magic Bands and Card to see if there was anything I needed to do to activate them (first trip with magic bands so learning as I go) and only mine and my DH bands are showing - not my...

If you used to stay onsite...

We stayed onsite the last 3 visits but went offsite this time because there were 13 of us (all family) for Christmas. We are here right now in a 6 bedroom in Windsor Palms and loving it!! It is only 5 miles to WDW and we all have our own rooms, our own pool, and our own hottub (which is...

    Motion simulators?

Thanks! We did Spiderman once before and it didn't get me TOO bad - I wasn't ready to jump back on it but it didn't bother me as much as Star Tours which made me green (and gave me a headache!) This definitely told me more than the Universal website's ride description!:thumbsup2

    Motion simulators?

Can someone refresh my memory about which rides are all or mostly motion simulators and which ones have stationary seats for the motion sick? I'm fine on coasters and Mummy and anything that is real moving but for some reason can't do motion simulators - even closing my eyes doesn't help much...

Christmas week, will Universal/Islands of Adventure be less crowded than Disney?

We just bought the VIP tickets today for 12/28 - it was a splurge but it sounds like it will be worth it! The plan is to blitz both parks and hit our favorites like Mummy and Hulk and Dragons! Now I just hope the weather cooperates!:worship:

Is snorkeling at Shark Reef included in the Typhoon lagoon ticket?

It's a neat thing to do and my dd did it when she was 5 - they have little sizes of all the equipment. The cold water feels great in the summer I can tell you!:rotfl:

Be honest, how are the last few weeks of August?

We took our daughter for her 13th birthday 4 years ago (Bday is August 10th). It was of course hot and humid but we had been in June before so we prepared for the heat. Plan on being there for rope drop, carry water and we love the misting fans (those are a life saver!!). A wet washcloth in...

How cool is too cool for water parks? Alternatives?

Mid-50s and above?? I don't think so! :scared1: I'm from Michigan and wouldn't consider going in the water at that temperature. I would want it to be over 70. Remember that you lose body heat much faster in water than in the air which even with water around 80 is 18 degrees below normal body...

    Tell me about mid-August!

We've gone in both June and August and I would have to say I didn't notice a lot of difference - it was hot and humid either way and the weather seemed very much the same (afternoon short t-storms). Crowds were maybe a little lighter in August the time we were there then they were in June but...

If you were going to splurge on just one thing at WDW . . .

Our last trip was shorter and we splurged on a staying at the Poly for 3 nights - it was wonderful!!:cool1: Other favorite splurges are character meals when the kids were little (they are still fun!), special souvenirs, and La Nouba which is awesome! Made me a huge Cirque du Soleil fan - I've...

    Tips for driving straight thru?

Thank you everyone for the ideas and encouragement! NotUrsala - Wetting drops are a great idea - I wouldn't have thought of that as I don't wear contacts but my eyes do get really dried out when I'm tired so that is a great suggestion. Hee hee - over 40 - I'll never admit it! I just...

    Snow falling on Main Street

List your 4 top things you like to do at Disney

Tough choices!! 1) Walking into MK and getting my first view of the castle - makes me cry every time! 2) Riding the rides I have loved since I was little - POTC, Haunted Mansion and others 3) Wishes - again with crying included! 4) Waiting until you are one of the last ones out of MK and...

    Tips for driving straight thru?

We are driving to WDW Dec 18th (6 weeks from tomorrow:banana:) and for the first time ever we are going to drive straight thru from Michigan (about 22 hours I think). The rest of the extended family are flying but with 4 of us and the price of plane tickets now we decided to drive (plus...

    Rent!!

Cool!! I saw it on Broadway and it was amazing!! Be prepared for a lot more f-bombs than in the movie though - they toned it down to get a PG-13 rating. The stage version is definitely an R!
