    Greenock Scotland Port question

When we took the British Isles cruise in 2016, we did the Sterling Castle excursion out of Greenock. It was nice (we'd rate it a 6-7 out of 10?), but we remember it including a long bus ride. (I don't recall if perhaps they drove us through another site-seeing destination as well on that one...

June 5, 2016 - Magic Goes to England, Ireland, Scotland and France

My wife, mother (late 70s) and eldest son (at 24, slightly older than the demographic you are seeking) took this cruise last year, creating a diverse mix of interests for my wife and me to try to make sure all had a great time. (For my wife and me, this was cruise #12, so we are somewhat...

VERO BEACH 2016 Information & Adoration Thread

They work across the split stay. (We did this in August ourselves.) When you arrive at Vero, tell them you have the mugs. They will have you go to the General Store and "re-activate" them for your stay there. No extra cost! (Not a phrase you commonly hear on these boards!) Enjoy!

    Vero Beach Area Restaurant Recommendations

We were at Vero Beach Resort again last week. Had a very nice casual dinner at Mr. Manatee's (first time there; very good food, great service, reasonable price), and then our traditional dinner at Ocean Grill.

    Differences between Wonder & Magic

We were on the Wonder last August (Alaska) and the Magic in November (Western Carib.) Both ships are wonderful and in great shape. We actually enjoy the fact that the sister ships are gradually becoming a little unique and distinctive from each other, developing their own "personalities." You...

    October cruise???

I'd recommend doing the four days on the Magic in October. (a) your kids will be another year older, and at perfect ages to fully enjoy this experience; (b) temperatures have potential to be a few degrees higher in Oct than Nov; (c) we prefer the classic ships (and Magic is our...

Yes, we have tipped anywhere between $20 and $50 for Palo. (not been to Remy nor used BBB) And, yes, will occasionally add to gratuities for drinks.

Cozumel Highlights and Mayan Ruins or Cozumel Ruins and Beach Tour

My wife and I did the Cozumel Highlights & Mayan Ruins excursion on the 11/10/13 trip and it exceeded our expectations. Similar set-up to that described above (convene before 8 am; walk to bus -- there were about 15 guests in total -- and then get background on the Island from an excellent...

    Alcohol/Internet Question

Just returned from 5-days on the Dream. Re: bringing alcohol on-board -- no limitations that we were aware of. Re: Internet Access -- You can purchase "at sea" packages of minutes; we did the "100 minutes for $40" package, as we needed to check-in on son who was traveling in Europe at same...

    ~June 27, 2009 Western, anyone?~

We too will be on this cruise: self, DW, DS (18) and DD (16). Trip is to celebrate son's HS graduation! Our third DCL trip, though this is the first time doing one this long (2 days @ OKW, 7 day cruise, 3 more days @ OKW.) Greatly looking forward to this! JFK

    Need advice on Vero

A couple of suggestions: * Breakfast in the fancier side of the restaurant (I forget the separate name); * Green Cabin Room each evening / live entertainment (read as "guy w/ guitar") most nights, and the deck is open, offering great moonlit views; * Dinner offsite most nights - one...
