Universal Studios with an 11 month old?

Unlike Disney, Universal has a rule where the child can not be on your lap on the rides. So he would have to sit next to you guys. At 11 months that should be okay. At IOA he can ride CaroSeussel, One Fish Two Fish, and Cat in the Hat ride(be aware that this spins a lot and is kind of a rough...

Are the layouts of US and IOA easy to find rides/attractions?

I think both of the parks are relatively easy to naviagte. IOA is pretty easy since it's one big cirle. The new Harry Potter construction makes it a little tricky, but I believe there are signs/TMs to help you naviage thru. US is a little tricker than IOA since it's not a big circle. If you...

Can I walk from these hotels to US/IOA?

I wouldn't walk to Universal from either of those hotels. It's a pretty busy road and a lot of wild drivers out there. If you really want to walk to the park though, the Imperial Swan would be the easiest one to walk to Universal from. The Imperial Swan is kind of old, but it does a full liquor...

    Ripsaw Falls - How Tight?

You heard right, it can be a pretty tight fit at Ripsaw Falls. I think what you have to worry about most is height wise. I'm 6', 215 pounds and it's a bit tough getting in and out...but once I'm in it's relatively comfortable. They have a test log you can get into in front of Ripsaw Falls.

    HHN Express Pass...Strange

I've seen the exact same thing. I think people don't realize all the ins and outs of the express pass and how to use them to their fullest potential.

Jersey week - does it affect crowd levels

I don't think you'll see much increase in attendance due to Jersey Week. It may be just a little more crowded than usual...but should still be relatively empty. It won't get busy until Thanksgiving...then it dies down again until the 3rd week of December.

Anniversary trip- need recommendations for a dinner.

My wife and I ate at The Palm Restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel for one of our anniversaries. It was really nice. A dinner for 2 would probably be around $50-$100. It could be a bit more if you order a bottle of wine. We also like Latin Quarters in CityWalk. It's not as expensive. They also...

Talk to me about US/IOA in February?

Congratulations on deciding to visit Universal. You and your family are going to love it. First off, the crowds in late February shouldn't be too bad. It starts to pick up a little bit, but I would hold off on buying express passes. If you get there and for some reason it's packed...get the...

    new ride for universal?

Yep, what Doom said. There were rumors after Back to the Future closed that it was going to get turned into Transformers, Fast and the Furious, or the Simpsons...we know how that one ended. I guess they liked their Transformers idea too and decided to use it for other parks.

what rides are open during hallowen horrer nights

Oh yeah you're both right. I got confused because they have someone at the Twister entrance, but they direct you to Interstellar Terror.

Twister is also open during Halloween Horror Nights.

    Holidays at Universal

If I remember correctly, there aren't any ticketed events at US or IOA in December. They have Grinchmas and the Macy's parade, but that's included with regular admission.

Is there a simpsons character breakfast?

Yeah, I think the Simpsons character breakfast could have done better if marketed right...I think the breakfast was an afterthought though. I know the marketing team had the Simpsons characters go to different timeshares and places like that to get the employees excited about the new Simpsons...

    The *OFFICIAL* HHN Review Thread

I have the same problem. I'm about 6' and 215ish and I go to HHN by myself. I'll see the scareactors look at me and then go the other way to scare a group...it is funny to watch though.

    The *OFFICIAL* HHN Review Thread

I want to do S & S next Sunday, but I'm not sure I'll be able to make it out there by 5. I've looked at the thread with everyone's pictures so I'm hoping to spot people while walking around...haha...we'll see if that works.

    The *OFFICIAL* HHN Review Thread

I ended up getting to HHN late last night...trying to recover from the Food & Wine Festival earlier in the day. It was so packed at HHN. 100 minutes for the Mary house and 45 minutes to an hour for all the other houses. I think I'll try to get their earlier next Sunday.

    Halloween with 7 year old

If your daughter still wants to go trick or treating you could take her to the Florida Mall. They're having trick or treating from 6PM to 8PM.

    drake and josh

Yeah, I've only seen Nick Jr. merch at the Studios...no Drake and Josh stuff. Maybe with their upcoming movie they'll have some merch available.

    The *OFFICIAL* HHN Review Thread

First let me introduce myself. My name is Dan...I've been a lurker here for about a year and have finally registered. Onto the question. I haven't seen the Brain Brushwood show this year, but I did see it last year. It's a magic/freak out show. He'll eat glass, put pins in his eyelid...
