I feel the same as OP. The nickel and diming, competitive planning, and decline in service has taken away the Disney appeal for me...but I hope that those who still find WDW or Disneyland magical continue to enjoy it. I'll be keeping my $9K and finding a less stressful experience.

My younger brother was a CM at Disneyland for 19 years. (2000-2019) He worked in resort transportation (lots of different jobs, from getting characters where they needed to be to driving the trams). At the end of his time there, he made $15.00. He started when the minimum wage circled around...

We cancelled too, even though this is the THIRD rescheduled trip since this madness began. :( We're all vaxxed, but if anything else happens (and I have klutzy/germ magnet teens), there's really not a lot of medical support in Florida right now. Bummer!

Wow. We had just received our offer and hadn't paid the deposit for September yet. Looks like we're not staying at WBC now...anyone have a recommendation for a property with similar amenities?

We have kids (by choice, LOL) and literally think nothing of adults enjoying the park without children in tow. Ride Dumbo, get popcorn, get that Millennial pretzel, meet princesses, whatever you like. Go for it. :) Enjoy what you enjoy, and if that's a Disney park then great! I have many friends...

Agree with the Monte Cristo! In the past, when I've gotten it at BB or Cafe Orleans, it's yummy but often a grease bomb. The one I got at Smokejumpers on Monday was the perfect size, and fried to perfection. Amazing!

Well, I really wish your post was 100% true. Sterilizing immunity across the board is not what we are seeing with the Covid-19 vaccine thus far, and isn't really necessary to curb outbreaks. The Israeli study you're referencing was limited and not peer-reviewed, but it certainly is encouraging...
