The one time I ate lunch a Tokyo dining, I found the sushi to be rather dry and boring, but I ate it all anyways. The California Grill sushi, however, was far superior, but it was pricey.
You can, however, get a feel for the crowds by looking at historical crowd calendars for free. :cool1:

I can't imagine that they will be markedly different. Perhaps the crowds will be lower in the fall as...
However, this past weekend my wife and I priced a room there for 8 nights; with taxes and fees came to $1,007. So while they don't participate in the free DDP you can certainly save money to be used toward food.
We just returned Friday 9/12 after an 8-day stay at CBR.
The Positives (in no particular order):
1. The themeing was a really nice surprise.
2. The Nemo room was perfect.
3. Mousekeeping kept the room very clean.
4. The view from our non-preferred location (Martinique 23) was nice.
