    Learning about electricity at Wdw?

Before your trip, check the local library for The Science of Disney Imagineering: Electricity DVD. We recently borrowed/watched it and it discussed electricity and how it is used in things like the electrical parade. It will give you a fresh look once you get into the parks.

    FP+ with military salute tickets?

I'm checking into AKV Kidani on Saturday. I didn't buy a package with park tickets and instead will be using Military Salute tickets. Is it too much to hope that I will qualify for FP+ use? Has anyone had luck getting FP+ with Military Salute Tickets?

    Be Our Guest - lunch

We went in April. We went about 20 minutes after the restaurant opened and had a very short wait (5 minute). The restaurant was busy, but we received our food very quickly.

    Anyone doing a CSA?

We have been CSA members for 3 years. Last year it was $25 a week. This year, it's $30 a week for certified organic. Our CSA offers a trade out box. If there is something in the share we don't like, we can trade it for something else. A list of recipes was also offered each week to help with...

Does anyone eat "clean" on a budget?

We saved money on vegetables and produce by joining a CSA. If you aren't familiar with a CSA, it's Community Supported Agriculture. You pay a share to a farmer and the farmer delivers a box/bag/share of food each week. I spend $30 per week on my CSA. My share is enough for 2 adults and 3 kids...

Does anyone eat "clean" on a budget?

100% natural is a marketing gimmick. Look for certified non-GMO or organic if you are looking to eat cleanly. Someone wasn't sure if Central Market was Texas based. Yes, HEB is only available in Texas. I love Central Market. We are a family of 5 and we eat cleanly, about 85% organic. Our...

Where else can I cut my WDW budget?

Save on food by eating breakfast in your room. Bring oatmeal, granola bars, fruit, etc. if you do any TS meals, do lunch. It is generally cheaper than dinner. You can also save $$by drinking water. Bring your own water bottle and refill it. You can also get free ice water from any CS.

    Summer Bay vs. Sheraton Vistana

I stayed at Summer Bay two years ago in a 3 bedroom. It was a nice resort and there was a lot of room, but we were assigned a 3 bedroom lock off. I am not sure if all 3 bedroom units are that way. We ended up not using the 3rd bedroom as it wasn't open to the 2 bedroom unit without leaving a...

Best/Worst Epcot TS for Small Children?

I would also vote for Biergarten. We went last year and my kids DS6, DD2 and DS1 all loved it. I would also recommend Akerhaus. My boys loved it as much as my daughter did.

Any experience with a late character breakfast buffet?

We have scheduled late breakfasts at both 1900 Fare Park, Crystal Palace and Tusker House. We reserve as close to the last ADR as possible. The crowds are much smaller and we've never had a problem with the food quality. At 1900 Fare Park, Tigger stayed at our table and had a seat to play with...

    Need 1 more dinner ressie...where 2 go?

Last year we did the Akerhaus dinner and loved it. The appetizers were served on a cold bar and then you chose your entree. The character interaction was good and our children loved it. My daughter loved all the princesses. We also did the Merakesh restaurant for dinner. It was really good. I...

recommend character meals for almost 2 year old

We went to the Tusker House breakfast in AK last November. The children were 5 and 2. We all loved it. The food was really good but it was a little loud. I would recommend making a late morning reservation for breakfast (per someone else's advise). We were seating in one of the last time...
