I'm in Orlando at the moment with a Budget car booked through US rentacar. I got the upgrade no problems and have a brand new Pontiac. The whole thing including queuing at MCO took about 10 minutes ( about 16.30 on a Tuesday afternoon) so very much reccommended!!
I think the unofficial guide to Walt Disney World has just about everything you could want to know and it's written in a very easy to read style. It could take you some years to read!!! (due to it's size) Buy it discounted from Amazon or play.com.
I went to Epcot yesterday (15th) and Animal Kingdom today and to be honest it wasn't too bad. 30 mins for Everest at midday, Soarin' was probably the longest at about 60 mins midday ish. For anyone due to travel soon, the weather is great, about 80 - 85 in the day and 65 to 70 in the evening...

This is the one I use and have found very good. http://www.touringplans.com/tp2/UG2_index.php?PageID=14

Another option would be to stay at one of the many hotels on Palm Parkway or near the Crossroads centre. There are many restaurants at all price levels within easy walking distance. Most of the hotels run some sort of shuttle service to Disney and, because you are close to Disney, a cab wouldn't...
We have done it twice and really enjoyed both times. It is a really good idea to book this for a day the other parks are busy (Saturday or a public holiday perhaps) as it never gets crowded.
I would endorse what others say about arrivng early, although they will allocate you a time for the...
