    Jollywood Nights 2024 predictions?

Me too. I'll have to convince the hubs to go again. Or just buy tickets, book a room and let him know after the fact. One of those two....lol

    Jollywood Nights 2024 predictions?

We know that - now. LOL. It just happened to be the first night was a weekend that worked well for us to be able to get away and stack it with MVMCP.

    Jollywood Nights 2024 predictions?

I followed along last year so I saw all the improvements and changes they made - including adding characters. Kinda sucked for those of us who went the first night. Disney actually gave us a refund.

    Jollywood Nights 2024 predictions?

We attended the first night last year and were so disappointed. It was just not well planned or executed. It worked great as an after hours event to ride rides - and that's pretty much all we got to do. Huge bottlenecks and lines for everything else. I know they made changes after the first...

Observations from our 4-Night Wish cruise 4/8-4/12

I love me some Disney entertainment, but we walked out of that one after the first song. Not my style at all.

How Long Would You Wait in Line to Meet Figment?

So we initially said we'd probably pass on it - especially with those lines - but about a month ago, there were maybe 4 groups in line so my son and I hopped in. Even with Figment taking a break, we waited less than 15 minutes.

    Should we try it?

Hope you get to see it. I laughed so hard I think I got an ab workout. The older couple was especially funny and people were seriously cheering for the guy any time they saw him for the rest of the cruise.

Cruising in late February? Is it too cold

Something else to remember when those weather systems pass through is they don't just affect the temperature. We had very choppy water every time we encountered a cold front on our cruise in February. One night was rough enough that the barf bags came out. The next day, our time on NCL's island...

    Should we try it?

My husband and I are not relax on the beach/by the pool people so I hear you. What we like about cruises is that we can stay busy - and we can also work to try and relax more. LOL. It's good to have options. We are just finding and figuring out now what we like those "busy" options to be.

    Should we try it?

We saw Match Your Mate on the Wish which is Disney's version of it. And it was hysterical! They picked great couples.

    I must be crazy……AUGUST?!?!

Maybe TMI but also true! LOL Also plenty of bras.

    Should we try it?

Are there specific things entertainment-wise you are looking for? We've done 2 DCL cruises and just did our first non-DCL cruise in February on NCL. We already know that we like being on a ship, visiting ports, and seeing new places, so the difference for us was what was offered on board...

    I must be crazy……AUGUST?!?!

Before moving to Florida, all of our WDW trips were in August or September. Obviously it's manageable - at least for us - since we did it multiple times and now live here. :) 1. Light, moisture-wicking fabrics - light colors, light weight. Honestly, I start to sweat when I see people in cotton...

Cruising in late February? Is it too cold

We just cruised Eastern Caribbean on Norwegian in mid-February. The weather was fantastic once we got into the Caribbean. It was a chilly mid-60s in Port Canaveral the day we left. The pools on the ship were perfect for swimming. Can't speak to the ocean - I waded to get my feet wet at Tortola...

Too ambitious? Adding on Disney Cruise for a newbie WDW and DCL family

Our first was a 3-night and while, yes, at the end we wished it had been longer, it was a good length of time for a first-ever cruise since we didn't know before we went if we would like it, would we be seasick, etc. More of a "try before you buy" lol! Of course our next was a 4-night - still...

    Cruising in September vs. January

We've cruised three times - once in August, once in September and just this February. August cruise - no storms. Weather was hot and humid. Water was calm and warm enough for me to enjoy. September cruise - sandwiched in between two storms with cruises before and I think after canceled, but...

Too ambitious? Adding on Disney Cruise for a newbie WDW and DCL family

Our first cruise was a land/sea combo - except we did the cruise first and then a week at WDW. The other way around would have been MUCH better exactly for the reasons you said. A cruise has the potential to be much more relaxing than the go-go-go pace of WDW. That said, you can also be pretty...

Curiosity question - what do you pack/wear for cruises?

We are somewhere in the middle. Comfy shorts and tank tops or t-shirts (depending on weather) with sandals and flip flops for most of the cruise. I pack some sundresses for me and polo shirts for my husband for dinner. We have yet to do Palo so haven't had to get more dressed up than that.

Share your "small joys" of cruising!

Some of the things we love....(some apply to any cruise, some to just Disney) Room service coffee and pastries on the verandah to start our day. Sunrises and sunsets at sea The artwork, memorabilia, and little touches discovered as we learn our way around the ship. Randomly bumping into a...

    Grand Floridian Vs Disney Fantasy

Both vacations have their own merit. Just wanted to say that first. :) For me, the difference between WDW and cruise was always the *type* of vacation we wanted to have. WDW is busy and, often, exhausting. Our first cruise we did a 3-night followed by a week at WDW and we both said we did that...
