Woot! Just heard via email from TSS that Disney waived ROFR on our VWL contract. Great news after having been snowed in for around a week due to Snowmageddon 2010. 100 VWL (Sep) $78, all '09 & '10 pts, buyer pays '10 mf, first time buyers, through TSS (sub 1/20, waived 2/11)

All this good news about VWL contracts is making me feel pretty positive about ours, but no word yet! On the other hand, ours was submitted only a couple of weeks ago, so probably have a little more to go before we hear.

Congrats! Given that you bought at the same price point for VWL as we did, that makes me feel pretty good about our ROFR chances. Here's hoping!!!

I didn't know that! That's a pretty sizable discount. Does the cash reservation have to be in the DVC members name, or could I ask them to make the reservation in my name (similar as to how my DVC family members have used their points to get reservations for me in the past)

Thanks everyone! I kind of figured the timeline would be impractical. FWIW, it does look like I can get a 1 bedroom villa at Wilderness lodge through the standard Disney reservation system (cash) -- I wonder if they differentiate between allocations for DVC and allocations for cash visitors ...

For long-time cruisers, how bad does this look? We'll be on the Wonder cruise that leaves the 17th, and this is our first cruise. Are we talking possible cancellation, or things moving around on deck and in staterooms? Or is it simply too early to tell? Thanks!
