    Let's keep it real ...

This. Don't get me wrong, things change, and I do certainly expect the podcast to keep changing and evolving as time goes by. However, listening these days does feel different in a not-so-positive way. And before I go any further, this is just my .02 here. Feel free to add or disagree. I've...

    Rant - Stepkids & Husband

This. There's a lot more going on here than OP wants us to notice. I say good luck. Doesn't sound like this is going to last.

What company did the in room celebrations? (not the official florist)

Yes, it's Gifts of a Lifetime :) I've used them, and I can tell you that if you do, you won't be disappointed. I had our room decorated for Halloween one year as a surprise, and they went above and beyond with the decorations and snacks. A++++ would highly recommend!

No Drum and Fife but Kwanza??!!

Seeing this at the American Adventure pavilion wouldn't seem strange to me. Our middle school used to have Kwanzaa celebrations each year :) We were allowed time out of class to learn songs and eat and make crafts, so needless to say it was a hit with us kids. And yeah, it's an American...

    Soaked on POTC!

This was me in Oct. of last year. Got seated in the first row. It missed the others while I got absolutely SOAKED. My family just laughed at me when we got off. Good thing it was warmer out and I dried off fast. But in the mean time it looked like I had totally wet myself! XD

    Your Family's Christmas Traditions

Cute thread idea :) I have a small family of three, all adults. Our usual Christmas tradition is to get up late (as in not at the crack of dawn) usually have breakfast first, and then open presents. We have these small handmade "coal boxes" and each year one of us takes turns filling them with...

Disney waited for Star Wars: The Force Awakens to proceed with theme park plans

Here's hoping that they handle it well. I'm one of those people who are less than excited about Avatarland.....or AK for that matter.

    Let's Talk about Haunted Mansion

Love all of it. I'd move in if I could. And I always tear up by the time I get to the graveyard.

"Star Wars, The Force Awakens" Burnout

I just really want it to be good after seeing the trailer. I'm daring to hope.

Poly Standard or Beach Club which would you pick?

I've stayed at both as well. If you love both, a split stay might be in order. You're doing 10 days so that's long enough to hack it. Both resorts have their perks with location and food. It becomes a matter of personal preference in the end. If it were me, I would wait until the Poly refurb is...

A Rebuttal: Top 5(+) things that are better at Walt Disney World than at Disneyland

Been to both and I love both. Walking underneath the train tunnel on either coast has the exact same effect on me. If you consider yourself a Disney fan, go see where the magic was born! :) I'm glad that I did and can't wait to go back. WDW will always be my "home" park, but putting one...

    HM Themed Rooms

No scarier than inside of the ride itself. If Disney can manage Halloween without it being "too scary," I think they could figure out a way to make a HM hotel a success. I for one would LIVE there. Or how about a HM themed restaurant in the park? People love the attraction and Disney is...

    Preach it Pete!

I appreciate your post, kbelle. This is all that people need to do! :wizard: If you're unhappy with the system, explore other options. Take a break. Try another theme park. (^ Such honesty and maturity is refreshing to read.) I'm in the minority. I've never had a problem with FP+, never a...

Wheres your favorite place in WDW?

On the front porch of the exhibition hall, just inside the main entrance to the MK. I like to sit on the benches and watch the sun set in the west. All the lights come up on the square and down main street. It's absolutely magical.

What was the First Table Service Restaurant...

Liberty Tree Tavern, and CRT back in the early 90's when I was maybe 7-8. I remember the food not being very good. I still have yet to go back to either one.

DHS Sorcerer's Hat to be removed

*setting up lawn chair* Entertaining thread for a Friday. And some hilarious posts so far! Thanks for the laughs :) Fingers crossed that this is actually true. Edit: Aww *hugs MaryLovesPooBear* It's ok to like the hat! No tomatoes here.

    Contemporary or Beach?

We've stayed at both and love both, but considering the ages of your kids and the proximity of MK, I'd choose CR. Beach Club is an amazing resort, and you can't go wrong staying there. However, as others have mentioned, it isn't as quick and easy as staying at the CR. Unless you're walking to...

    My Prediction...FLOP

I'm going to try to stay positive about this. Can't say I was crazy about the HM movie, but who knows. I doubt it'll end up with PoTC's kind of success, but here's hoping for the best.
