    2016 Bounceback Offers

We checked out of the Poly yesterday and I neglected to look for a BB offer. Are they sometimes not offered? Can I book after the fact? I assumed perhaps they'd make an offer through MDE. Thanks!

Disney Visa card (sorry -- wrong board?)

My DH has finally relented on getting a Disney VISA card. Are there any tricks about signing up -- like do they offer "signing" bonuses at certain times? Thanks so much.

    Cub's Den at Wilderness Lodge

Hi. In February, my 4 and 7-year-old boys went to Cub's Den one night and Neverland the next. While I felt they were safe and occupied in both, NL was much bigger, had lots more to do and had the disney magic w/ the decor, lighting, etc. They didn't want to leave NL where they played...

Gifts in rooms (PB, I think)

We have friends headed to US for HP over Memorial Day. I'd like to surprise them w/ something in the room (other than food). I know Disney does something like this, does anyone know if Univ. does? Thanks so much.

Help.... can't decide what to do

We stayed at the CR one night in Feb as a "filler" and I was surprised how much my 7 and 4 year-old boys loved it (well, I guess it's a combo of the indoor train and view of the fireworks). That said, all three monorail resorts are super-easy for getting to the park. In fact, the walk is...

Restaurant suggestions needed -- 4 adults, 4 kids

Finally got the rooms (OKW 2Bdr) all set, then realized I only have 12 days before ADRs and no clue which restaurants to pick for our rather large group. The kids are all under 7 and not the most patient, so I'm looking for suggestions for best TS for us with nothing formal or with leisurely...

Three-day trip to WDW -- sounds like insanity?

I'm trying to plan a trip in October or Dec. to introduce my SIL and her 7-year-old to WDW (bringing along my own 7 and 4-year-olds). She can only go Fri afternoon to Tues. morning. I guess we could get a sampling if we stayed very close (GF or CR) and set low expectations, maybe two MK...

If you don't get the room you requested....

Don't forget you can ask to be moved. We were at WL with a sliver of a water view (of the DVC pool) and I was at the front desk the next morning at 6 a.m. to find out if a better view was becoming avail that day. Sure enough, they had three nice possibilities to choose from. For that...

Best rooms to stay in at the WL

#4071! or any in that series With young kids, you really want to be close to the lobby and roaring forks. Also this room has a great view and bunk beds!

Where to stay- DH said yes to Jan11 trip!

I agree w/ all above, esp with 2-year-old. So easy to MK, so relaxing and not crowded (and we were there Pres. Week!). As for room request, be sure to ask for close to or opening on the lobby. Some of the courtyard view rooms in the wings are a major hike, esp w/ kids, and the...

OT: Family summer vacation in New England

Check Basin Harbor in VT. Not cheap, but wonderful and all-inclusive. We love Mt. Washington Hotel, but that doesn't give you the lake/beach Probably our best lake vacation was Winnipausaukee. You could even look for an island rental, but we did best renting near Weirs for the go...

Can you ask to change rooms

One thing that worked at us (at WL, but the principle is the same) is that we took the yucky room the first night because there was nothing avail to move to. I was at the front desk at 6 a.m. the next morning to ask for something with a better view and was given my choice of two great rooms...

    Poly or WL?

I had this same dilemma in February, but ended up with the WL because of availability. It was a great choice for us (my boys are 7 and 4) because it was a bit of a retreat from the parks, but still with the feeling of being very close. The boats were a breeze. On our epcot day, we took the...

    Star Tours - please explain

Hi. My just turned 4-year-old was fine on it. You could talk about it a bit ahead of time to make sure he understands you're going to "land" safely and you'll get to see some cool things on your "flight."

The opposite of WL is...BC? (with young kids)

Hi. Looking to book another trip after loving the WL last month. I was considering AKL but after looking at room photos, I realized the rooms are VERY similar to WL. I know the themes, grounds, etc. are totally diff. So, for something different in the same category (or moderate)...

How do you deal with PDLD (post Disney let down)?

I love you guys! Great ideas!! RYELS: that is so awesome about VWL. Many congratulations on that. I love the organizing idea -- anything productive is always good. Thank goodness there was so much WDW on the Travel Channel last Fri. That got me through the weekend. Thanks again.

How do you deal with PDLD (post Disney let down)?

I'm sure someone has coined a cute term for this, but I am really in a post-trip funk. We had such a wonderful time Pres. Week at WL. I've booked a Dec. trip, but realistically DH isn't going to go for it. At least it made me feel better to book it. I'm just really surprised that I...

Is it worth doing Evening EMH's ?

I have a ridiculous question, but it's bugging me: how do they get non-resort guests out of the park during evening EMH? Or can they wander around, not just ride?? Thanks.

Is the San Angel Inn Really That Bad?

Had a great lunch there in Feb. Beautiful, pretty calm setting, great service, good filling food. One of our best meals.
