    B2B changes

We did a B2B on the Dream in mid-July. We stayed in the same room and did not have to pack up. However, I brought my own tests with us from home and tested us the night before to alleviate some of the stress of the next morning. I also figured if we were positive, we could pack up our own stuff...

Change in Provider and Options for Onboard Internet Being Reported

Hi! We are about to go on our first Disney cruise, and it will be the first cruise ever for my husband and daughter. We are sailing on the Dream on July 9th. Are any of the current internet packages decent enough to check emails and take Zoom calls for work? I read the article about the new...

Last minute trip (tomorrow!)....AKL or Port Orleans Riverside?

Would love some advice..... Tomorrow is our DD's 6th birthday. princess: We are surprising her with a quick last minute day at Disney. We usually stay at Beach Club but couldn't get a decent rate. Our choices are a Pool View at AKL, or one of the Royal rooms with a Riverview rooms at...

This may be my mother in law's last trip

It can't hurt to ask. I just lost my dad a few weeks ago to lung cancer. He loved Disney, and we are leaving tomorrow on a birthday trip for my 4 year old. I would have done anything for him to have been able to make it with us. :sad1: God bless you guys, and I hope the trip is extra magical...

Chicago experts please help! I need a nice hotel near American girl with a nice pool.

We recently stayed at the Four Seasons with our 4 and 12 year old girls and they loved it. They are great with the kids. Brought my 12 year old some soda and popcorn, and brought my 4 year old some chocolate milk and cookies as a welcome amenity. They also had child sized robes, and board games...

Concierge/Club Level Information - Part III (October 2010)

Thank you! I've been praying a lot lately. I am just looking forward to some down time with my family. The kids deserve this vacation as much as any body. My 12 year old was at home taking care of my mom while I was at the hospital with my dad. Disney is the perfect place to make us forget about...

Concierge/Club Level Information - Part III (October 2010)

Thanks! We were going to book a deluxe but by the time we called only lagoon view was left. Kind of a long story....so sorry if the response is long. Basically, I have had a rough month. My dad just passed away suddenly after being diagnosed with cancer just 6 days before...he was completely...

    Size of daybed at BWI?

Not sure if this helps, but it is bigger than the one at the Beach Club. The daybed at BWI folded down, and the one at BC did not. I didn't sleep on it because it was for our daughter, but did try it out and the daybed at BWI was comfortable for me. I'm 5'6" and 135lbs. Guess it depends on how...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part II

That's what I saw too, which is why I was confused and didn't believe the CM at first. :confused3 He told us that the 5th floor (lagoon view) only had 2 queens, or a king and a daybed. He also said he couldn't even manually book the Lagoon View CL with we had 5 people listed. Luckily, it's not a...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part II

Lucky for us, we are really a family of four. We added my niece on to our room in case she wanted to spend a few nights with my daughter since they are the same age. I didn't want to not put her on the room and "get caught" with an extra person in our room. I guess I will just have her parents...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part II

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the double post, but I wasn't sure which thread to post this in....... We are booked in a Water view at BC for July 23-30 for 2 adults and 3 kids. We are trying to change our room to a CL room and all that's left is Lagoon View CL. Which is fine with us, but we were...

how far in advance do you book kids clubs?

We've always been able to book same day, but I have heard of a few instances when it was full. We booked at BC and Poly same day for 4 or 5 separate occasions last Aug.

    AKL Rooms, help me decide!

We have stayed at AKL many times and have had every possible view. We usually prefer a Pool View room as we like the location of the rooms better. We've had Savannah view multiple times, and enjoy those too. However, we've had some experiences where we saw tons of animals outside our room every...

    elementary school homework

My DD is in 4th grade, and seems to get a good amount of homework. It's always at least an hours worth. One night she had so much stuff it took her 3 hours. That was only once. They do get weekend homework occasionally. Her teacher is great though and very fair so I don't worry too much.

    Harvest instead of Halloween?

I'm Catholic as well. We have always celebrated Halloween. Our church/school holds a Harvestfest every year. So I guess we get to enjoy both. We have never viewed Halloween as a "satanic" or evil holiday. Actually I don't know anyone personally who does. Catholics tend to be more laid back...
