Sept 12,2013:3 nights on Disney Dream Cruise meet

I've sent a request for the FB group - this will be my first cruise on DCL - we had done a cruise on NCL a couple of years ago, which did not go that great - we are hoping this second try at cruising goes much better. It will be just my DH and I - I will be celebrating my 49th birthday on this...

I have driven the Minnesota route and the Kansas City (i29) route as well. We usually leave Friday night after work and drive as far as Fargo then get up really early Saturday morning and drive. We are at Disney by Sunday afternoon after a hotel stop somewhere Saturday night. I prefer the...

    OT: ? re:property & divorce

I work with lots of people who are divorcing and we direct all kinds of people to consult with their own legal counsel to get advice on their own personal situation. Remember that you don't necessarily have to file for a divorce but you do need to be educated as to what your rights are. Often...

    Travellers cheques at Disney

Just a quick suggestion - our bank advised us that if we want to use our debit card in the U.S. we had to have a 4 digit pin on the card (we used to have a 6 digit pin). If you have a 6 digit pin, you could try changing it.

Back from family trip, want to go solo now...

I totally understand where you're coming from - there are plenty of things I would do when alone that I can't do with my famly (like get on Soarin' over and over again). I've been taking people along on all my trips (I think as an excuse to keep going back) and finally mentioned to my DH (who...

Article on flying out of us vs. Canada

we live west of Winnipeg and we often drive to Fargo or Grand Forks, North Dakota to fly out on Delta - we save about $300-$500 a ticket by driving an extra 3 hours. Allegiant Air has really good deals from Fargo as well but we never seem to make the dates work. When we do get a good deal...

What a deal on a flight...

YXEdad - have you heard of Allegiant Air or Delta out of Fargo North Dakota. It's a lot closer than MSP and we often find good deals;)

Is it possible to get good/CHEAP airfare out of Toronto to Orlando?

If you try the american carriers (like Delta, American Airlines, etc.) you will find that they often beat Canadian carriers' prices out of Canadian main hub cities.....we often use Delta out of Winnipeg. The one american airline I don't like though is United - they somehow route everything...

    Driving from SK to DL

I did the drive from Brandon MB twice in 2 years (2008 & 2009) - drove to Butte MT the first night and then to Barstow CA the second night, then coasted into Anaheim the 3rd day of driving. On the way back, my first days drive was to Las Vegas where we spent the day - we left early in the...

    Anybody rent a villa?

I've used homeaway and they have rental insurance - I think it was about $20-30 for the house we rented - it gives you another sense of security - it is a good website and you deal directly with the owners as well. We have now rented from the same place out in Crescent Lakes twice and...

    Disney Just after Christmas

We just got back 2 weeks ago from Disney World. We flew into Orlando on January 3rd and came back home January 9th - it's the same time period I took my holiday last year as well - the Christmas decorations were still up, Disney was still playing Christmas carols but the crowds were gone - it...

Becoming Disney-type Travel Agent? I'm planning FOUR separate friends vacations :)

If you're the resident Disney expert, rather than becoming a travel agent (for which I believe you'll need to take a course) why don't you teach a course on planning trips to Disney at your local community college/recreation center?
