    DVC Annual Pass discount

My postcard was only for renewals. I, too, would have loved another special like last year's $399 special, but it's not to be.

Anyone excited about the DVC resort at Polynesian?

I bought in 1997 at BWV because there was no DVC at either of my favorite resorts: BCV or Poly. Now they will have DVCs at both places, so I am excited too. I am getting a little old to be buying more points, and Social Security doesn't usually allow for DVC in their monthly checks, but I...

    DVC Annual Pass discount

My postcard came in the mail, and they are offering $110 off for the premium passport, and(I think) $90 for the regular one.

Disneyworld - DVC Versus Wyndham's Bonnet Creek

You get what you pay for, and you have shown that it's not a dollar to dollar breakdown. DVC and Marriott-I'm a member at both-- are great resorts, and comparable in many ways, especially at customer service. When you call about a problem, you get serviced. I may not like their way of...

    Taking your child's friend?

I have taken several of DD's friends with us to Florida. One friend was an absolute joy, the second was lots of fun, the third one(at 20) spent so much time on the phone with her mom that she never talked to us! Other dd's friend spent over an hour putting on her make-up every day, and one...

    Going to Disney after Hysterectomy

I went to Disney 3 weeks after my hysterectomy, and it was too soon. Everyone told me that it would be no problem, but I had the abdominal incision, which was much more of an issue than the other kind. I was in the hospital for a week, due to a fever and a collapsed lung, and when we left for...

    Dreaded Feb UY.....Fact or Myth?

"Dreaded???" I don't think so! I like my February use year! I also like my March use year, but I am not crazy about August, and I hate December! As a teacher, I spread my use years out so that I could take trips in the spring, summer, and Christmas. Now I am retired, so I travel in October...

Why did you buy a DVC at a resort that contract ends in 2042??

So will I! :rotfl: When I bought in 1996, I thought I would pass all our timeshares to our kids. Well, with nearly 1000 pts, we are at the point that the kids can't afford to pay the dues, so they have to learn how to rent the points, which will pay the dues, and they will still be able to use...

BW has the mesh ones too, I saw them in January. No more sticking to the plastic! Ouch!:headache:

    Back out of resale purchase?

I agree, 90 days is enough. Tell your agent now that you are backing out of the deal, and you want your money returned. The seller has problems and your money could be tied up for several more months if you try to ride this out.

    CLOSED, Thank you!

Renting 120 pts, good for all this year. Firm on the $9, serious renters only. If you ask me to check for available dates, I expect that you want those dates reserved for you. Paid for in two installments, March 1 and April 1. Fastest service if you email me at tclapper2@yahoo.com.

    Interesting comparison with Marriott

One of the problems with Marriott's new program is that as an owner Marriott gives me a certain amount of points for my weeks, and suddenly my weeks are only worth 3-4 days on their points charts, so my fall timeshares become worth less than before. Also, you continue to pay your dues for all...

Points for rent:$8 per point 86 pts left--closed

Take a December-January trip! I have only 86 pts left at $8 per point and the points must be used by Jan 31. They can not be transferred, as they are borrowed points. I have no points left for trips after Jan 31. Serious renters only, please. Email me at tclapper2@yahoo.com for a faster...

*Disney Enthusiasts Give DVC Renting a Try*

The thing to realize that up until recently, there were no brokers, only individual owners. It's usually best to use someone with a history on these boards vs. someone who only has 10 or 15 messages. The person with 10 or 15 messages could be entirely responsible and above-board, but at least...

Points for rent:$8 per point CLOSED, thanks!

Amy, I just emailed you that they have the 20th, 21st, and the22nd, but the 19th is full. We can either waitlist for the 19th, or slightly shift your reservation to the 23rd to see if that's available. Let me know if either of these is possible.

Points for rent:$8 per point CLOSED, thanks!

These points expire the end of January or February(two contracts) about 200 pts left, $8.00 per point. They can not be transferred, since they were borrowed points. Great for a last-minute vacation! You can PM me, or send to tclapper2@yahoo.com
