Thank you so much for the rolling suitcase suggestion. We have walked many times from Hess to BWV struggling with the wine, water etc. Just never thought about the suitcase. We will be doing that this Oct.
Aloha
Wow!!! Thanks everybody as these are great suggestions. We are staying in a two bedroom BWV. We always get the TIW card. Some suggestions we have never been to and some I have forgotten about- I guess too many choices. So far I am thinking first night maybe pizza in or Via Napoli, depending when...
This January we are taking the 3 kids, spouses and two grand kids for a week at the World. Wife and I go twice a year, usually just the two of us. We go to a signature restaurant every night. About a year ago we took everybody and did the Castle dinner and another character dinner at the Grand...
Nobody is buying real estate in this economy including Disney. The market value on all resorts has fallen considerably. That will continue. I bought Boardwalk about three years ago and paid $75. I thought that was a great price at the time. Now $50 is BWV price. These are depreciating assets...
We live on Maui which is similar weather to Oahu. Contrary to popular belief, we do have "winter" in the tropics. Dec-Feb can have rainy periods and still good temps- high 70's- low 80's. It can rain all day for a day or two. Rest of the year you can get trade wind showers. Best to go for...
We fly Maui to Orlando twice a year. Seems to run $700 to $900 from Maui. maybe a little less from Honolulu. Lots of options- we like Orlando to Chicago to Honolulu on United except maybe middle of winter. Aloha.
PS- from the UK I would go to Chicago then direct Honolulu.
For the first time we are taking our grand baby girl age three and another girl age 8 to the World first week in Dec. I am planning our meal ressies and looking for any advise. It has been a long time since we took little ones to the World. Also I don't want to break the bank but I know some of...
Wow! This is getting confusing. My DW and I play 4 rounds each trip and take two trips a year. We are DVC and AP holders. Last year we also bought the "golf pass" for $60 and I think it is now $75. In Jan. we paid $83 each after 10AM. My question is- do I need the "golf pass" for $75 based on...
This was a spur of the moment dinner. I walked over to the Swan at 4PM and asked if they had anything for that night. No problem, we got a 6:30 for 2 and we did get the 20% TIW discount. The steak portions are soooo big that my wife and I split a huge prime rib. This will now be a every trip...
We just left this morning and last night we had dinner at Shulla's at the Swan. It was a great dinner and now they extend the 20% for Tables in Wonderland. Try it, you'll like it.
Point on the "18%" tip. Last time I did the math, the 18% tip was based on the discounted (20%) bill. That tip is actually 15% of the full bill, before the discount. That seems fare to me.
We live on Maui in Kapalua, which is 5 miles north of Kaanapali. My suggestions- dinner at Kimo's in Lahaina. It's about 10 to 15 dollars less than most places and you are right on the water. I's less because they include salad and most places charge for salad. For whale watching, the Pacific...
