Sneakers vs. sandals in the world?

I hate to wear sneakers in the summer. I prefer well broken in sandals for WDW. I haven't had any problems with people stepping on my toes either!

Absolute BEST way to get and KEEP your parade spot....

That sounds like a great idea to mark your spot. I find myself avoiding the parades because I hate crowds and confrontation if someone is rude to us. I don't want to ruin the day by being upset over some rude person. On the other hand, it would be nice to have our little girls experience the...

Suggestions for flying with a toddler and the change in air pressue

Our pediatrician recommended a dose of Sudafed for our toddler a half-hour before take-off to keep any fluid from building up in the ears. Our daughter also had numerous ear infections, so this was a big concern to us. The Sudafed must have worked, because she was fine! On her previous trip...

Has anybody considered RELOCATING to be closer to WDW?

I daydream of living in the community called Celebration! Maybe someday 20 years or so from now...when the kids are on their own...

    character breakfast at poly

If you are referring to O'Hana for your character breakfast, it was wonderful. The food was great (they bring it to you it wasn't buffet) and the characters were extra friendly. Goofy picked up our youngest daughter and sat her on his lap on the floor for a very long time and just wouln't...

best time of year to visit

If he doesn't take you, he's missing out on the trip of a lifetime. Does he think he's too young or too old??? Your ages are perfect! Well, any age is perfect for WDW. In addition to GF, Poly and DL, how about Wilderness Lodge or Carribean Beach? How about the Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach...

    Package Quote..DU vs WDW Travel

When you did the WDW quote, did you click for the complete package (which includes airfare and ground transfers along w/travel insurance) or the custom package where you can be more specific and eliminate what you don't want? Maybe that's the difference. I recently got quotes from WDW and DU...

Can you buy travel insurance for air tickets, etc.? Where?

If you went through a travel agent, they should be able to get you travel insurance. If you went through Disney, they offer it also. I don't know who you'd go through if you just booked your airfare yourself online, etc. Maybe call the airline? If you have AAA, you could probably get it...

    Rudeness of Strangers

I just had to speak up, because not all stroller people are rude. We always have a stroller and are very careful not to bump people. We sometimes have the opposite problem - strollerless people cutting us off. I think rude people are rude people...regardless of whether or not they push a...

Daughter has a rare form of dwarfism...

to everyone who helped with my post. I'm sorry to hear about the 36" height restriction for the Barnstormer - Mackenzie was able to ride that when she was 2 years old...now she won't be...oh well...same thing happened here at home on the Ocean City Boardwalk - they lowered the height...

Daughter has a rare form of dwarfism...

Our youngest daughter has a rare form of dwarfism...she is 4 years old, 26" tall and weighs 20 pounds. She will most likely never be tall enough to ride any of the height restriction rides, which makes us sad because she is a real daredevel - even moreso than her average height 7 year old...

do all the parks have the "new" type strollers?

I'm with rosiecorolla...We are definitely bringing a light-weight stroller from home for our 5-year-old who is very tiny, and we will rent one for our 8-year-old, who only weighs 40 lbs., if she wants one. They do an awful lot of walking, and why shouldn't they be able to rest their feet/legs...

    Netgrocer Questions

Hi, I posted this question on the Disney Tips board also - wasn't sure where it belongs. Has anyone ever placed a food/snack order through Netgrocer and had it delivered to your hotel? I read someone's trip report, which I cannot find again, that said they had a Negrocer package waiting for...

    Netgrocer Questions

I read on someone's trip report that they ordered food from Netgrocer and their package was waiting at the hotel for them upon check-in. I can no longer find that post. Just wondered how many people do this. If so, are you happy with it? How far in advance would you place your order? Do you...

How Often Do You Read These Boards?

Hello everyone. We're going to WDW the last week in November and I read these boards just about every day, sometimes more than once! I was wondering how often others read the boards. How soon before your trip do you start? Am I going to burn myself out doing this? Michele

I'm pretty sure all of the restaurants have children's menus which usually have chicken fingers, pizzas, burgers, etc.
