Just Back. March 20th Animal Kingdom

We were wondering why the line for FOP was already at 120 minutes and it wasn't even 9 yet!

Just Back. March 20th Animal Kingdom

So I wanted to get there by rope drop because the crowds at MK two days prior seemed way bigger than the projected 7/10. (Found out later they were actually observed to be 10/10.) We got through security and into park by 8:50 and the Navi river ride was already running even though the official...

    Electric Water Pageant

OMG! All the years I've gone to Disney, I've never actually seen the whole thing. We were staying at the Contemporary, River side, and it would park RIGHT OUTSIDE our window and play the loudest music! Hand to God, I never realized there was a musical component. I always thought it was this...

Having friends visit us at the resort

Oh boy. I have friends and family that were going to come visit us at the Contemporary to "just hang out." Is a full Contemporary parking lot a thing?

Alaska July 25 2016. Float planes and whales and seals, "Oh my!" Updated 8-21-16.

Day 3. Glacier Day! I was looking forward to this the most and it didn't disappoint. Tracey Arm was still too icebergy, so we headed to Endicott Arm instead. I stayed in our room for most of it, knowing we would see the other side when we turned around. My hubby hung out at deck 10 a lot to...

Alaska July 25 2016. Float planes and whales and seals, "Oh my!" Updated 8-21-16.

Day 2. I love that a sea day starts off the cruise. Makes it so leisurely! The kids went to the clubs throughout the day. They are not much into the characters, but Stitch was still a priority for them. We hung out on the veranda throughout the day watching the scenery get more...

More pics of the first night. BTW, we have nothing cameras. So, anything you see here was 100x more stunning in real life. (Except for my youngest's "dabs." Those translate exactly as obnoxiously as they did in real life.)

Alaska July 25 2016. Float planes and whales and seals, "Oh my!" Updated 8-21-16.

Day 1 of cruise. We had breakfast in town and then packed up our stuff and walked down to the ship, maybe 10:30 ish? Very easy to do with rolling luggage, because, again, it's downhill. We struck up a conversation with a family of obvious fellow Disney cruisers (luggage, matching...

Alaska July 25 2016. Float planes and whales and seals, "Oh my!" Updated 8-21-16.

I know when I have read these Alaska trip reports, I don't care so much about the pre-cruise part. But then again, I did find some valuable info that I don't know I would have found on my own. I'll split the difference and just briefly go over what we did. Let's see, the first night we also...

Alaska July 25 2016. Float planes and whales and seals, "Oh my!" Updated 8-21-16.

Awww. Thanks! One gets all enthusiastic to write one of these things, especially when they first get back home and then life starts to get in the way! FYI, for anyone reading this, I figured out that the actor we were in the hot tub with, (after googling "Netflix Lemony Snickets" lead actor...

Just off the Wonder in Alaska - quick trip report!

We were the ones on the Anan Creek bear excursion with you. My husband said you were at the pool afterwords at the Fairmont and didn't realize who it was right away! We did have a great time didn't we? I am starting a trip report so maybe you'll see pics of your family in the background. (I...

Alaska July 25 2016. Float planes and whales and seals, "Oh my!" Updated 8-21-16.

Well, we just got back from a Wonderful time in Alaska. I've done some chores, so now all I want to do is re-live it all with you guys. :mic: Pre-cruise: We flew in early from Cleveland on Sat the 23rd. The 2nd leg of our flight got cancelled due to plane mechanical failure, but luckily Air...

Port or Starboard for Alaskan Cruise?

We just got back and were on the port side. At Endicott Arm, it felt like the starboard side got a little extra time and they went first, but we still got plenty of time to sit and watch multiple "calving" of the glacier. I like being turned around 2nd because I had already jumped to the...

Recently off Wonder any Alaska/Vancouver questions?

We have two private excursions booked for our upcoming trip. Did you tip the captain of Harv and Marv? I don't mind tipping, I just didn't know if you were supposed to, especially if the tour operator/captain/pilot is also the owner.

how to pay for cab in Vancouver?

Yeah, so what the title says--do I need Canadian cash for cabs in Vancouver before our Alaska cruise? Do they take credit cards? But, do I really want to do that if they do? My credit card says it charges a percentage in international fees. o_O
