    GPS Watch recommendations

Check out the site: dcrainmaker.com -- he goes into great depth about all sorts of sports technology including all of the GPS watches out there. My first GPS watch was the Garmin Forerunner 10 -- $129, now you can find it for $99. Wonderful watch but had no heart rate monitor and the 5 hour...

    Official 2016 Dopey Challenge Thread

If my nerves don't fail me, it looks like my best strategy for early registration will be to use my phone, through the DVC link. Any tips for doing this?

    Official 2016 Dopey Challenge Thread

Avenger's early registration began yesterday and regular registration begins April 7th - so two weeks in advance. The same was true for W&D. So I would think that early registration will be two weeks before regular for Dopey. And of course I have a mandatory meeting scheduled for that day...

VWL Groupies...yes, we love the Lodge, a lot!!

I just got back from VWL as well - my first visit but sure won't be my last. It was absolutely gorgeous!!!! We were on the 5th floor in a newly refurbished room. Tomorrow, I will post some pictures, if I can remember my photobucket password. *blush* We did hear a lot of construction...

    Official Wine & Dine 2014

Me, too - about W&D - not a fan of night-time exertion but have heard so many great things about W&D that I want to try it at least once. I also enjoy F&W so this sounds like this will be a fun trip all the way around. I did read that AP-holders will be able to sign up in late February [26...

Official 2014 Tinker Bell Half Marathon

I am so sorry - the deferment date was back in December [30 days prior to the race]. I don't know if rD offers any options after that date but you could call them.

Official 2014 Tinker Bell Half Marathon

Here's what I found for Tink 2013: http://as1.wdpromedia.com/media/rundisney/pdf/tinkerbell/2013-CorralAssignmentsTink.pdf Just shows corrals going up to E. My friend who ran it last year said that she was in E but there were more corrals behind her. ???

Official 2014 Tinker Bell Half Marathon

Thanks for the link! 12239 for the half, 27300 for the 10K -- still probably in the last corral, according to last year's corral assignments but I'm definitely stronger this year than I was for PHM last year. Bring it - I'll beat those sweepers! [now off to have my first pre-race panic...

Official 2014 PHM & Glass Slipper "Where are you staying" thread!

Hello, princes and princesses --- I will be staying at VWL - first time ever! I also will be at DLR for the Tink Half and 10K, and then at WDW for the GSC. Whew -- that sure is a lot of traveling for a piece of metal, even though it is pink.

    Official Glass Slipper Challenge Thread

I *did* get charged for both after registering for the C2C and have the humongo cc statement to prove it! Odd that it didn't do that for some people?

    Princess 1/2 walkers?

 wow, after all of that, the PHM will be nothing! I hope so -- I'd like to hug the lady who first inspired me to walk this race. Thanks! :goodvibes Congratulations on the 40th anniversary! A cruise sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate. Hi, Brooke! So glad you're...

    Princess 1/2 walkers?

4 miles is great! I remember your posting on the exercise thread last spring and was always so impressed with all that you did, even with your large family. Are you still having to do all of that yard work?

    Princess 1/2 walkers?

Wow, 15:30 is a great start - go you! My fastest pace is right at the 16 mm mark - no matter how hard I try. I've been pretty consistent in my training. Back in February, I joined a gym and have been taking a lot of their classes -- spinning, weight training, Zumba, kick boxing. I look...

    Princess 1/2 walkers?

Hey, Dreamer! I love seeing this thread back in action and am SO excited that you and your daughter have signed up for the GSC! Me too!!!! You can totally do this!!!! I would think that, because we're walking both races, we'll need less of a recovery time. Many who train for the Goofy...

    I can do this...right?

You can do this! In addition to everyone else's good advice [especially the part about keeping up with the training], I think it's a great idea to sign up for other local races, if you've never done so. They really are lots of fun and, except for the smaller races, you'll see all sorts of...
