We Love Chocolate Mousse! A Mom and Daughter Sept 2016 Food and Wine Trip

Hi all! I'm Jess, 32, and the brains of this annual free dining trip! I've been around the Disboards for a long time and met some amazing friends on here. Work and grad school got in the way a little, but with our upcoming trip (10 days away and almost time for a single digit dance!) I'd like...

Help... Please... What would you suggest?

Does he like seafood? We tried cape May for dinner in December...really really good buffet. Ribs, prime rib, crab legs. Delicious.

    Restaurant Opinions?

The only one we've been to out of that list is Cape May. It was SO good! So cozy inside and the characters are cute in their beach outfits. The french toast is also something special there-yum!!

    Needing one more ADR

I'd have to agree with the above, we really like the Wave at the Contemporary resort-good vegetarian curry Also, Boma is outstanding for dinner! Lots of choose from especially soups and salad choices. Plus, at Christmas you can see the beautiful tree and explore the grounds.

    What would you choose?

As much as I love Tonga Toast at Kona, I would vote for Boma. Their breakfast buffet is amazing!! So much to choose from for everyone! Plus, there's so much construction going on at the Poly, we went to there in Sept and Kona was so boxed in with all the lobby walls around it. Felt very closed in.

    Recent Experiences at Cape May?

We all ate there in December for breakfast and it was fantastic. Lots of dishes to choose from. Really liked the banana fosters french toast. My aunt always eats there every year for the Clam Bake and ravs about it, so we're trying on our next trip in December.

How's the food court situation at All Star Sport going right now?

I'm curious about this myself. Tempted to switch from Sports to avoid this in December...

    Afternoon tea at GF

This is from allears. You can order either packages or a la carte. Princess Kate Tea - A Spring tea served with a classic dish of potted shrimp followed by a medley of cheeses, an array of seasonal fruits, and cheddar cheese biscuits. A scone, jam tart, and a selection of delicate pastries is...

    Choices

Definitely check out allears.net for menus and that should help you narrow it down for your specific family. We tend to eat at the resorts a lot, some of our favorites are: Downtown Disney: Raglan Road Epcot: Kringla at Norway for QS (good fresh sandwiches, salad/fruit, bakery item)...

    Looking for Raglan Road reviews

We LOVE Raglan Road! Tried this for dinner back in 2009 and have eaten here every trip on our arrival day's dinner. The irish soda bread and gusiness dip is awesome. I get the Serious Steak every year (has basil oil, whiskey marmalade and onion straws) and my mom and fiance get the Lamb Shank...

Which ADR would be best to pay out of pocket?

Definitely Sci-Fi. Their desserts (aside from the milkshakes) aren't all that great anyway.

    Free Dining in December?

We have gone every year in December since 2005 and Free Dining has always been offered. I'm pretty good at guessing which dates it will be now. Last year it was 10th-20th, and the year before the 13th. If you go the 3rd-9th, I'm guessing you will just miss it before it's offered. Can you move...

    Dining Questions

The Garden Grill at Epcot is Character, Family-style. Really good food and the salad all comes from the land! 50's prime time cafe at DHS is good..meatload, fried chicken, the usual. Liberty Tree Tavern at MK Crystal Palace or Cape May Cafe character breakfasts

Where oh where should we eat? 2 adults, 2 kids

Definitely do Ohana, at least once. If you are a fan of breakfast, and sounds like your little one likes Stitch, then do the Character Breakfast. We have done both, the breakfast and the dinner and the food is OUTSTANDING!! If you want to do the Dinner, (non-character), I would then suggest...

    Hot Italian Sandwich Pizzafari AK

Not sure either..but it IS delicious!! My fiance and I always try and split it with a pizza from Pizzafari, but it never works out. I always end up eating most of the Italian Sandwich. Maybe we should start getting 2... :thumbsup2

    Restaurant suggestions?

Definitely Ohana...then you can jump on the monorail right into the MK. They bring out the food really quick (at least every time we have eaten there). I'd say 1 hour tops depending on how fast you eat. It will full you up for sure and the food is fantastic!!

    Ohana ???

Definitely give yourself at least 45 minutes-1 hour. We have had several cases where the monorail stops in between the stations due to it waiting for monorails in front and almost missed our time. If you get there early, the Poly is a GREAT resort to wonder around.

    Kouzzina Dinner Entree

We went here in December, a new place we wanted to try. My mom and brother in law got the rib eye and said it was fantastic. And my fiance and I got the Trio, which comes with small tasting portions of the Lamb Burger (excellent, but VERY spicy), Greek Lasgna and Cinammon Stewed Chicken. The...

    Celebrating 26th bday!

Raglan Road in Downtown Disney is always a must for us and we NEVER have trouble getting reservations. Even last minute ones. Plus, if you sit front and center you can watch the Irish Dancers! Absolutely everything we have had there, including dessert is outstanding. And not too pricey!

    Trying new restaurants....suggestions?

Can only comment on Garden Grill. We went there last year (our 2nd time since 2007) and it was really good. As mentioned above family style. You get fresh salad from the Land with dressing, good yeast rolls, and then family style Fish, Steak and Turkey and Mashed Potatoes. We had about 3...
