what's the shortest time you ever planned a trip to Disney?

47 days, and it was our best trip to date! I was able to book every single ADR I wanted (and this was during Free Dining so I spent hours checking for openings). And I made a very detailed plan for every single day. All that planning at the last minute was so worth it. :thumbsup2 I can't imagine...

    SWW and Fantasmic

My parents went to the 10:30 PM F! show on the 21st (as I suggested, because I knew the 9:00 PM one would be crowded). The line went down Hollywood Blvd. and seemed really long. They got in line but then ended up being in the 5th row. I can't remember if they said it was 1/2 or 2/3ds full. But...

One of the funniest things I've ever heard at WDW:

I wasn't actually there for these, but I read them on the boards some time ago and they just stayed with me: A little boy who called Donald "Chicken Mickey". A family was on POTC and they got to the part where there's a skeleton lying next to some treasure on the beach. The father told...

    Opinions on grown child's curfew...

I'm a 20 year-old college student and I don't think you're being unreasonable but maybe just a little strict. My curfew while living at home is still around 10:30 PM (but I call or text if I want to stay out a little later). I always grew up with the understanding that I'm living in my parents'...

    Adults meeting characters

Many people did not get to meet the characters as children. This past August I was at Chef Mickey's and we were seated next to a family with a little girl who looked to be about four or five. She was very excited to meet Mickey, but it was her father's reaction to the characters that really...

When one funeral brings back all the pain of a previous one...

I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandmother passed away earlier this month. She was very healthy so it stunned us. She died almost exactly 20 years (just four days off) to the day my grandfather died. It was so hard because we hadn't had a death in our immediate family since then. And I...

    Favourite "secondary" Disney Character

I've always liked Slim from A Bug's Life. "Tra-la-la-la-la, spring is in the air, and I am a flower...with nothing interesting to say." :lmao: Charlotte was my favorite character in The Princess and the Frog. I wish she had a meet and greet! She had the funniest lines in the movie.

    Horrible Animated Disney Movies

I recently saw the Hunchback of Notre Dame 2. Now THAT was a horrible movie. :scared1: I had heard bad things about it, but I didn't expect the animation to be so bad. And the plot is practically non-existent. The only reason I watched it was because "Heaven's Light" was so heartbreaking and I...

    Funny People in the Parks!

On ME heading to the GF: Dad: We're going to Disney World!! Little Boy: But I thought Disney World was in Florida? Dad: We ARE in Florida. Little Boy: Oh. Dad: I just can't wait! There are four different parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal...

    Is this lady over-reacting?

My mom and grandmother recently found a tooth in H-E-B brand (big supermarket chain in TX) ice cream. They told me they just threw it away! :scared1: I would have gone to complain. I ate some of that ice cream!!

School lunch just might be worth it

I went to public school and everyone had free lunch. Of course, we didn't have choice of food at all. Every Friday we had enchiladas. :crazy2: Most of the food was not edible. They'd made about 20-25 salads (for maybe 500 students) per lunch so you had to RUN if you wanted one. That was really...

Cool discoveries made when your ride vehicle has stopped . . .

Back in June I got stuck in various parts of Dinosaur for maybe 5-10 minutes at a time. It was fun to see the animatronics with the lights on although it did sort of ruin the illusion. It used to be such a scary ride before. We ended up having to be walked off the ride although we were pretty...

Can and do people visit with characters when there are no children in their party?

My family and I are doing 4 character meals (plus Remy at Chefs de France) this upcoming trip. I'm the youngest at 19. And I'm SOO excited to meet Peter Pan, Aladdin, and Prince Naveen this trip. The princesses are awesome but I'm more interested in meeting the princes. :lovestruc

Not receiving conformation e-mails on all my ADR's

Yes, I have the same problem. Every time I try to make an ADR the page just stays frozen and says not to refresh. I always do because it gets stuck and I never get a confirmation e-mail. But every time I check my reservations the ADR shows up. I don't really get worried anymore...

6 Flags is Def NO Disney,, no magic there!

I haven't gone to Fiesta Texas in FOREVER and I live in SA, too. It's really fun, especially the Rockville show, but yeah, it's no Disney.

Is the Toy Story ride still really busy?

We were there on June 20th and around 8 PM - 9 PM the stand-by line for TSM was about 40 min. I think it does get shorter around Fantasmic. Tower of Terror has been a walk-on the past two times we've gone while the 9 PM Fantasmic is playing. And this is in June.

We arrive on the 15th and are planning to go to HS as soon as we check in! It's going to be crazy but we're at least going to try. :scared1:
