    When to use MM

We will be visiting Aug 9-16 (Thursday to Thursday, so those are not park days) with 5 day hoppers. Trying to decide which day to take as our non-park day: Sunday or Monday? And which day to use MM: Saturday or Tuesday? Any thoughts?

    *o* August Check-In Thread *o*

Our dates are Aug 9-16 (Thurs to Thurs, so no parks on those days). I’m trying to decide which day to use MM; Saturday or Tuesday. Also trying to decide which will be our non-park day; Sunday or Monday. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thx.

    Fantasy Room 9152

We stayed in that room 5 or 6 years ago. I do not recall any out of the ordinary hallway noise. We liked the location being right at the stairs and elevators and didn't find it to be a detriment. The obstruction on the balcony was minimal and provided a bit of shelter from the wind if needed...

    HELP!! Which would you pick?

I agree with those who say enjoy the resort. We stayed at VWL for 4 days before our January 2018 cruise and we had plenty to do without going to the parks. I debated back and forth about getting park tickets but in the end was happy with my decsion not too. You can change your airport pick up...

So... is this a decent deal? Alaska

I agree with pricing out 2 staterooms. We booked Aug 26/19 Alaska and originally had a cat 5e verandah for the 4 of us (approx $10,300). I read here that it may be cheaper to book one verandah and one inside, so I had it requoted and we now have a cat 7a verandah and cat 11b inside across the...

    1 room vs 2

I’ll have a 13 and a 15 1/2 year old at time of sailing so I’m comfortable with them in their own room ... I think!

    1 room vs 2

Besides the obvious benefit of having twice as much space what are the pros and cons of having 2 rooms over one? We are a family of 4 and I booked a cat 5e for Alaska 2019 but I’m looking at pricing and I think we can get a cat 7a and cat 11b for the same price.

    Removing guests

It is an OBB. I booked thru Costco yesterday Aug 27 Alaska cat 5C. I called DCL later in the day myself to get quotes on other categories and found that for the same price as the 5C I can get a 7A and a 11B. So now I’m wondering if I can change the original booking without losing the OBB...

    Removing guests

Can I remove 2 guests from a reservation of 4 or is that considered a cancellation? I’m well within the time to cancel and receive a full refund.

Cruise cost was $10,136 and I will receive a $1,045 cash card. It definitely helps swallow the price and justifies me being on hold with them for 3 hours this morning.

Can I ask the ages of your kids? Mine are 13/15 and the price I got for a 5A on Aug 26 with 2A/2K and OBB was $10,136.72. I would have have thought end of August would be less than mid July but maybe its because of the Icy Straight stop.

** OPENING DAY PRICING MID 2019: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

Yes! Had to book thru Costco because they held my placeholder and it took 3 hours but got it done. Now it figure out if I can actually afford it. Costco said they don't "hold" bookings so I had to pay deposit, which actually seemed lower than I thought it wouldbe so that helps for now.

NEWS 5/17: Late 2019 itineraries released - link in post #1 (2020 watch thread will start soon)

I haven’t used Costco before but I understand that I have to be on hold with Costco while they are on hold with Disney so there is no difference. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Can you call DCL and put a cruise on hold and then have your TA call in next day to book and give deposit? I’m using a placeholder which Costco already “owns”, if that makes a difference. I’m worried that it will take Costco longer to connect with DCL than if I call myself right at 8am Tuesday.
