    Should I be concerned?

Welcome home! If you are concerned, give your guide a call and they can find out the status of things. It's only been a week though, and it does take some time, so I wouldn't be too concerned. As far as Storm-Along Bay goes, the only restriction is that they don't allow DVC members to...

    Help!!

Yeah I know most of you don't remember me thats mostly because I'm using my dad's screen name because for some reason it just dosn't want to go to mine. It's been a long time since I've talked but I really need your guys help because you see we are watching the movie Uncle tom's Cabin and then...

Do you think we will like OKW?

It is a bit of a walk from the furthest buildings to the HH, but there are busses that you can catch. As far as the pool goes, keep in mind that there are 4 pools at OKW located around the property, so no one is really very far from a pool. Granted, the main pool at the HH has the most...

    Can't miss minigolf in Cozumel???

Just to disagree here. The neighborhood was no better and no worse than a lot of neighborhoods, unless you live in a condo on the beach front (or on Cape Cod). We walked from the ship to the golf course and back and did not fear for our safety, with the exeception of the pushy shopkeepers...

how did you plan your time in Cozumel?

Sorry to be non-PC here, but once you've been to one city in Mexico, you've basically been to all of them. You walk down the street and people are busy trying to get you to come into their shops with offers of 99% off and whatever. Yawn...... Frankly I get tired of that pretty quickly. I...

    Food on the plane?

The TSA suggests not packing food items, but they certainly don't prohibit it. I think they are mainly concerned with things like donuts tempting the employee's; just kidding, the truth is that some food items (anything with nitrates, like hot dogs) can show up as a false positive for...

    really dumb question

You are given a card to fill out indicating whether you need ice in the morning, evening or both. Just select the appropriate option and your stateroom host/ess will make sure you have ice. If you need more ice, simply pick up the phone and push the button with the stateroom host icon beside...

how did you plan your time in Cozumel?

We had only one goal in Cozumel, and that was to go to Sally's Mini-golf - it was a great plan and the highlight of Cozumel for us.

    Cash vs DVC points?

You'll probably get a better response to this on the DVC board where this topic is discussed frequently. IMO, DVC points get the best value when used at DVC resorts. That being said, you need to weigh whether or not you have the cash to finance a cruise vs. having the DVC points. If you...

    Changing to late seating ?

The impression I got from our last cruise in March is that it's much easier to change from early to late than the other way around. In fact, you could probably announce your intention to change to the line of people in the terminal and sell your early seating in an eBay style auction - might...

    BYOB at dinner

Your assistant server will take care of your bottle if you like. No need to carry it back and forth from cabin to dining room.

    BYOB at dinner

A corkage fee is the price you pay to DCL for them to pull the cork on your bottle of wine. Basically it's an equalilzer - while DCL will let you bring your own drinks on board, they also make money by selling you drinks - so this is how they make their money - basically they penalize you for...

    BYOB at dinner

Don't forget the 15% gratuity - so that fee comes to $17.25. We found on our cruise in March that DCL had modified the wine selection for the packages that they offered, and personally I think it was a much better selection than before. There was more of a selection of California wines...

    KTTW card & charging...

As I recall, you cannot put a limit on the card. What we did was discuss with our DD's what was an acceptable purchase and when they need to ask permission and/or discuss with us - this worked out very well on both cruises. If the card is lost, report it to guest services right away. While...

getting main seating after being waitlisted

Can't comment on your chances of switching, but don't forget that there are lots and lots of food options; we found it very nice to have a late afternoon/early evening snack of chicken tenders, or some other item - this would keep us until dinner quite nicely.

WHERE on MAGIC to Change Dining Times ??

It was at Sessions when we cruised in March. It's my understanding that first seating is the most requested for dining and for changes. My suggestion would be to plan on late and then be pleasantly surprised if you can get switched to first.

    Tipping onboard... $2 bills

I think the problem with the $1 coins is that they look too much like quarters. I never got any strange looks, but I sometimes got the feeling that the room service person thought I was cheap by only giving him 75cents or $1.

    KTTW Question

    F = First - as in first seating 2 = second rotation, as in PTA/PLA S = Second seating

    Question for Recent Magic Cruisers

All at the same place, but different tables. They give you a number and they will call your number so you can go up to the table to make the dinner reservations. I'm not sure if the number is also for tea/brunch or not. We were on board very early and still didn't get tea reservations...

    sleeping arrangments

A cat 4 does have the pull-down bunkbed in addition to the fold-out couch and the murphy bed - that's how you sleep 5 in the room. We stayed in a cat 4 in Oct, 2001 - didn't use the murphy (blocks access to the verandah).
