DAS Outrage vs Genie Plus Outrage?

People hate to be nickel and dimed. Make one price. Including all the individual lightning lanes in genie+ for one price would at least be a step in the right direction of making DAS less appealing. How many of us have spent more for "free shipping" vs just buying less and paying for the...

DAS Outrage vs Genie Plus Outrage?

I feel 100% the abuse is due to the rising costs which have always outpaced inflation. We've been going to disneyland annually since way before kids. We regularly went at least 3 days, sometimes 4-5, with just the 2 of us and used the FP system. Not only could we afford to go that many days...

    Disneyland table service

Plaza inn always has a nice variety for our varying tastes and has the feel of sit down. We also like Cafe Orleans and Carnation Cafe. We have def moved to more QS over the years as menus changed and seem to do really well with DCA QS choices. We mobile order since a few of us like different...

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

Yes! Just as we've loved watching the bustle of paradise pier outside our window at VGC, we loved watching the animals from our AKV balcony every day!

My son has DAS too. You probably won't need genie+ then unless you want re-rides or the lines are so long it's prohibitive even with the virtual lines. That's a low time of year and my guess is you won't need it.

Genie+ seems more worthwhile at WDW. My theory is there are fewer rides per park, so you have a ton of people all vying for the same ones. At DLR, I feel like the crowd is more spread out among more rides, plus the ease of hopping to another park for even more choices.

We use our VGC points at WDW. :confused3 It's our only contract and I don't want to mess with renting. We stayed at BRV and AKL in 2020 for the first time and loved them both. Our kids love both WDW and DLR for their differences, especially AK. Took us 3 trips to figure out our WDW touring...

    Renting DVC Points Question

I would say you're better off finding your own owner to rent from and/or making back up reservations.

How early to arrive to be at front for Rope Drop?

We got in line for security at GCH DTD entrance at 6:40-45 and felt like that was good enough for us.

Also, this was our view from the living room in the 1 bedroom 4502. It was the best we've had in a long time because there's a good space between the trees there.

What's happening at Disneyland on November 20th that the 1 bedrooms would already be booked? I put in a waitlist request, but I'm wondering if I even want to be there that day! :scared:

    December 2023 Planning Thread

We just finished 4 days, including rain yesterday. It's never felt this warm, especially with rain. I'm not sure if it's the humidity or what. Usually we're too cold to stay in rain, but we were fine yesterday with wet jeans/feet and a poncho. My kids were just wearing long sleeved shirts...

    Fishing,accelerating modifying and MEP

Anyone know how this works with DAS? Are MEPs scheduled like LL and DAS? Or do you just walk up and use it at that tier ride? Will it take the MEP or DAS first when I scan in? 🤔 This is my first trip using genie+.

    online DAS registration rant

Whelp, it ended up being over 5 hours. :scared: I kept thinking, well, I've waited this long, it can't be much longer, right? And I was paranoid to walk away again because the screen kept timing out and didn't make any sort of notification noise when it did it. What if they came on when it...

    online DAS registration rant

And I'm still here. 3:37. They haven't come on at all to ask me if I wanted to keep waiting. :confused3 There's literally no rhyme or reason. I'm not sure I'm coordinated enough to try it in the app. They told me I had to be logged off so I did and I'm paranoid to lose it a 3rd time today...

    online DAS registration rant

Can I just take a moment to express my exasperation to people that understand? o_O I'm trying to register today for the DAS. I had to wait for today because my son is home. I also had to wait until he was awake. Get in queue at 10:16, told it's gonna be over 2 hours, great, I leave my...

Help choosing dates for Christmas trip 2024

We used to always go 5 park days and stay 7 nights (staring on a Saturday because that's when our timeshare would start). Our usual was 2 days in the parks, a break day, and then a mix of full/half days due to our own stamina (and excitement about the light crowds). Sunday and Monday were...

Help choosing dates for Christmas trip 2024

I would go home on friday, 11/22 (or 11/21). Your lightest crowd days will be tues-thurs. thanksgiving week is nuts and the week after is frequently nuts. I feel like word got out that the week after thanksgiving used to be light and then it was all downhill from there.
