Anyone NOT from CA get an annual pass?

We're in Washington state and will be renewing for our third AP year when we go there next week. My kids' APs expired awhile back, but I get sent down that way on business trips every now and then and love to use the AP for my free evenings.

    Disneyland with a 5 year old and a 3 year old...need suggestions!

I'd say to be sure to plan for a nap/swim back at the hotel each afternoon...when the day is at it's hottest and you've made it through a morning of excited running around...it's nice to recharge before evening. Not to mention it's a good stratedgy to avoid meltdowns in the evening. Make...

Best Western Park Place Inn & Mini Suites?

I think the hotel is decent...not wonderful, but I've always found it to be clean and the location can't be beat. Especially great if you have a stroller age kid...take along your own stroller because you walk across the road from the hotel into the shuttle drop off area and into the parks from...

Help please...how to surprise the kids? (sorry, it's long)

Would love some ideas on how to surprise the kids with "We're going to Disneyland!"...we're leaving on June 3rd at 11:30am to head to the airport (have a hired suburban coming to give us a ride). It's going to be me, bf, my dd10, my dd7, bfdd15, bfdd13, and bfdd10 -- all the kids know each...

Libby Lu, did you like it?

We went to Libby Lu today...Bellevue Square in Washington...the girls wanted to get ready for High School Musical at the Paramount. So, we ended up with 3 (my 2 are on either end, and boyfriend's 1 in the middle) Sharpay wannabees. They loved it, but gotta say, my day would've been happier...

Libby Lu, did you like it?

We LOVE Libby Lu...have one locally and have been going there for years, but never skip at Disneyland. My girls are 10 and 7 and both of them love it. You really don't have to worry about them messing your daughter's hair up...all they use is hair tyes, bobby pins, and glittery spray (along w/...

    Celebrity sighting today!!!

That is cool. :) Back when I was 16, my best friend and I met Kirk Cameron (from the old show Growing Pains) inside the park...he was doing a commercial or something, but posed for a pic with us when we stopped and asked...he was very friendly. :)

Great Idea...Temp Tattoos for the kids (lost/found)...

So, I just ordered a pack of custom temporary tattoos to stick on the kids on our days in the park...they say "If Lost, please call *my cell #*" Thinking this is a great idea -- going to stick them on the kids for the days in the park, plus field trips, etc. I ordered from...

Booked DL trip - what should I do right now?

Hi...sounds like a fun trip...be prepared also in case when they hit the park they might want to do the fun princess and character stuff. :) even if they say they're too old for it at home. :) My daughters are 10 and 7 and even my nieces up to age 15 get a little jealous that they don't...

    Wheelchair at DL

I visited once w/ an adopted niece that had difficulty walking (birth defect), so we rented her a wheel chair. It wasn't difficult to get around the park, the entire party got to use the handicap entrace for the rides (which mean pretty much zero wait time), and the handles made great holders...

If you have kids, when did they stop...

My kids are 10 and 7...but they haven't even brought that up. Actually they haven't even disputed Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy yet. I kind of wonder if my 10 year old thinks the fun will stop if she brings up thinking they're not real. lol

If you had 1 day to spend at DLR by yourself...

I went a few nights on my own for Halloween time in 2006 (was on a business trip to Long Beach, so chose to stay close to the park and use my season pass). Mostly did downtown Disney since closing was early...had nice dinners by myself courtesy of the company card since it was business travel...

    I went to SeaWorld today...

Ok, in total agreement that SeaWorld can't compete with the magical quality that Disneyland possesses...but we really had fun there last time we went....am going to take a day trip there during our next Disneyland trip (leaving June 3) I thought the breakfast with Shamu was great...and the...

    Disneyland Budget Super Thread

Great Thread! Ok, if you have a kid small enough (for Disneyland...even a 6-7 year old not used to the walking) -- you can use a Disney Visa to get free stroller rental, but my favorite is to buy a cheap umbrella stroller (like $15) at Walmart or Target...check in on the flight still boxed)...
