i'm about 5 min from Santa Monica and besides what the poster above me said, I think Renting a car would save you time, headache and the option to leave when you want to. Oh, Lax is about 15 min. away in no traffic high traffic an 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs mild everyday la traffic 35 min.

on halloween we stayed at Super 8 Anaheim/Disneyland Drive and it was fine for 65 a night. 4 people I would stay there again..
