A three-night cruise sails by way too quickly. The extra $2,000 for one extra night depends on many factors -- number of individuals in the stateroom and the time of year. My son and I did a four-night sailing on the Wish for $2,600 in April. That included insurance, port fees and gratuities.

I'm also on the Wish at that same time. The current forecast has the hurricane hitting between Fort Myers and Tampa Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. It will probably reach Jacksonville early Thursday. However, it's really too early to tell, but Port Canaveral should be fine by Friday.

The dress code is very informal in the main dining restaurants. I've seen shorts, tank tops and baseball caps. Much different from past sailings.

I wouldn’t encourage people to bring whole plates of food into the theater. Soft drinks, popcorn and candy are fine. Can you imagine walking along a row of seats with people juggling plates on their laps. Soiled seats and carpet would be a great surprise for the next showing in the theater.

You can wear or do whatever you want. We had a guy who brought a Yeti tumbler to spit his chew juice into during dinner. His group was usually dressed in swim trunks and t-shirts. A couple of nights cut-off shorts.

Is a passport that expires 5 months after the cruise valid for a cruise stopping in Cozumel, Mexico? If it is not valid, can a valid driver’s license and state-issued birth certificate be used instead? The cruise departs and returns to the port in Miami.
