Accessible rooms when you don't need one?

If it's on the Dream or Fantasy it is a huge room and veranda. My mother had this room on the last cruise we took and our party of 18 fit in there with room to spare. I believe the veranda was Plexiglas on the Dream. I would love to have this room! If your kids really need a bathtub it doesn't...

    Water in checked luggage?

You can put water in a rolling carry on so you don't actually have to "carry" it. The water onboard is fine for most people and they do also sell bottled water onboard if you don't want to carry on. Putting it in checked luggage or checking a case is not allowed for very good reasons.

First Cruise Ever!! But I have concerns.

To help with your planning find the Navigators for a trip like yours and read some trip reports on the Disboards. The Navigators might be different from your trip but it will give you an idea of what is available. When you get on the ship it's hard to have time to focus on how they are laid out...

Things on my packing list I'm obsessing too much over . . .

In Cabanas they have Kellogg's Low Fat Granola in the cereal boxes, Raisin Bran too. The hot Muesli is with mixed with yogurt and the make your own granola station is awesome.

    Concierge Breakfast. What to do

DH loves Cabanas for the speed but the selection for breakfast is great. I love the fresh fruit station. My brother likes to go to restaurants for breakfast and is very picky about his breakfast so went to the MDR every day and complained about it every day. Finally, on the last day, DH asked...

Improvizing a "non-official" renewal of vows during a cruise - ideas please!

Check here for your cruise by ship and date http://www.disboards.com/forums/disney-cruise-meets.85/ I understand that they are different but you are not having a wedding type ceremony with an officiant, guests, etc. that would usually be associated with vow renewal. No one looking on would...

Improvizing a "non-official" renewal of vows during a cruise - ideas please!

Maybe changing the language to "Anniversary Celebration" instead of "Vow Renewal" would help with any objections from Disney and posters on here. There are tons of white sundresses or even bathing suit coverups that would work for what you want. I really like the idea of writing in the sand and...

    Cabana Wrist Band Check?

The cabanas are not very large and seem crowded at 6 to 8 people, 12 would be ridiculous.

Uh-oh, should I have booked a later flight?

Yes, the Miami port and the airport are much closer than Port Canaveral and the Orlando airport. You should be good to go.

    Is food fancy in MDR's?

The lighter selections is just what you are looking for, steak, chicken and salmon simply prepared. Lots of people love the chicken strips at the pool. Kids menus also have lots of things that picky kids and adults would like. You can mix the menus too, like a chicken dinner from the adult menu...

Can I Bring My Hair Dryer on Fantasy

The hair dryers on the Fantasy and Dream are Babyliss Cordkeepers. I haven't been on the Magic since it's re-imagineering but they may have them too. Last time we were on the Wonder they did not have them. You have to plug it into the correct outlet at the desk or it will not work correctly. The...

    wifi in CC Cabana?

None of this applies if you are the owner of a business. :) A crisis averted is better than a situation that needs to be fixed later.

can you bring booze on board?

Why is it so hard to follow the rules? When people don't follow the rules we all risk the chance of this great privilege being removed! Thanks for ruining it for all of us because you can't carry a small bottle onto the ship in a carry on! It's not that hard - or are you so weak you can't even...

    Mixology

We had a great Mixology class! There was about 15 people and it was in Skyline. The bartender asked for a volunteer to make a full size drink while he went over the details and why you should do certain things for each drink. Then when it was done the volunteer got the full size drink and...

    Your opinion about buffet crowds

We usually go to the MDR (Enchanted Garden) for boarding lunch and Cabanas for breakfast or lunch most other days. The first day is too crazy for us, the rest of the time is manageable. Speaking of Mickey waffles - Why are they sooo much better at Disney's Vero Beach Resort?

    Need a wheelchair accesible stateroom

I'm surprised there were none available unless it is for Labor Day weekend. I would call back and say it's not an option to go without a HA room. There are a few rooms that were originally meant to be HA but they didn't designate them as such. One of these might be available. They are half...

Your most important tip for a first time cruise

Sunscreen: apply about a half an hour before you will be anywhere outside and re-apply at least every hour. They say it doesn't matter the SPF number but if you are pale and tend to burn get the highest SPF number you can find. Many brands have several choices so be careful when choosing one in...

    Coffee Question

The coffee on board has changed recently, about a year ago, to Joffrey Coffee from the awful Nescafe syrup they had so opinions about the taste or quality of the included coffee would be different depending on when the last cruise the poster took. Joffrey Coffee has been in the Disney properties...

    FE disapointment?

That's just sad. Some people go all out and some do just a little bit of fun stuff. Some people that do a little bit of fun stuff give out things more than once during the cruise. There will be people that appreciate each and/or both types of gifts. Something simple but fun could be your...

    Help for a newbie!

My sister was worried about being stuck on a boat for so many days but it's more like being in an all inclusive resort for days with some off property activities. It wasn't a problem when she got on the first cruise, although she got a veranda stateroom the first time to help. Now she's the one...
