    Singles(& ex-singles who refuse to leave)Social Club: Amazingly, It's still 5o'clock!

And 5 o'clock continues to roll around, and around, and around. Just back three weeks ago, but I feel like I'm still there. I'm going to be back in the World in mid-October most likely (w/o 10/13) - celebrating a very special birthday for my mother, and seeing my extended family. We're...

Yes, and we were also told that she has a potty mouth when that happens. They actually put Tinker Bell up on a crane to see how she looks up there. (People have telephoto lenses!) She works for about 20 seconds, but gets paid for an eight-hour day.

    Gross things at WDW

I was having a nice conversation near the Hub in front of the Ice Cream Parlor after Wishes with a custodian and two ladies from out of town. It was so crowded, no one was moving, and we were in no hurry to get out of there. Suddenly, a young girl (about 9) leaned over the railing and barfed...

I don't know if they clean them after each use, but I'm assuming any glasses that get dropped in the bins after the attractions end up being cleaned. They had a very large amount of glasses going through the conveyor belt. The machine looked like an automatic car wash of sorts. They use 150...

Other things that I haven't seen yet in this thread. Mission: Space is the first theme park attraction in the world equipped with barf bags. The 3D glasses for Star Tours, when purchased, were state-of-the-art and cost Disney $9 per pair. Backstage at Epcot has a large machine that washes...

Yes, I believe you're correct! And, last time I checked, nor was gum sold at Orlando International Airport.

    Stitchs Escape

It's not so much a ride as it is a theater-in-the-round. They strap you into the seat by a shoulder harness, poke you, and cover you in the awful scent of a Stitch belch. And you can't get away due to the restraints. I'm old enough to remember Mission to Mars in that same space.

The top of Epcot's Eiffel Tower has sticky paint on it to discourage birds from landing on it. Since it's a forced-perspective rendering, having a full-sized bird landing on the miniature tower would ruin the illusion.

The left-most pagoda style building at the Japan pavilion is modeled after the world's oldest wood-construction structure, which is in Japan, is over 1,000 years old, and was built completely without nails or screws - just interlocking wood pieces. Obviously, given the demands of Florida...

Are the no expiration tickets options gone already?

I think that some people, particularly first-time visitors, might not understand the "first-use" thing. That's why people might need the option explained. There are some instances, interestingly, where buying two separate tickets might actually make sense over buying No Expiration, but even...

    Golf at disney

Tip is included with the cab voucher. Though, we usually put a couple extra dollars with the voucher if the cab driver did a good job. If you have a DVC membership, the discounts are pretty attractive. My dad always presents his DVC card when we play, and we get pretty good deals. Even...

    Park on departure day

You'll need to check your bags into your airline at the resort prior to leaving for MK, unless you want to have Bell Services hold them for you and you want to lug them to the airport and check them in with your airline yourself. Resort Airline Check-In is open from 5am-1pm, and they've...

Any public electric outlets in the parks?

At least OP limited it to crock pots. I'm waiting for someone to set up a turkey fryer next to the Swiss Family Treehouse :rotfl2: Alton Brown - fast forward to 2:30

    Park on departure day

It's going to take you at least 30 minutes to get back to AKL, possibly more. Remember that you're going from MK, on the extreme northern end of property, to AKL on the southwestern part of property. Factor in bus wait times, traffic on the roads in the MK perimeter, and distance, and you'll...

Keys To Kingdom Tour and Stamina

In my experience, there were a lot of places to sit down, and plenty of opportunities for biological breaks. We even were able to sit down in places that I didn't even know existed before we did the tour, particularly in Adventureland. When I took it, I'd been going to MK since I was a kid...

Brazil and Russia coming to World Showcase!

Well played, Josh. Seriously, I do think Brazil, Russia, and India should have pavilions at WS - it'd just be a matter of finding someone to sponsor them. For Russia, how about a CircleVision 360 movie narrated by Yakov Smirnoff?

    Toy Story Mania practice round

I wouldn't put it past the Imagineers to do something like that, given their skill at bringing things to life, but given the criticality of the attraction (due to its popularity), I don't see them adding another layer of complexity to it. Perhaps next time, I'll tank the training round just...

Here are some of my favorites, from KTTK, UnDISCOVERED Future World, Keep Moving Forward, and other sources. If you did one load of laundry every day for 44 years, you'd do the amount of laundry that WDW does in one day. Trash cans are located about every 25 paces. This is because they...

    Disney Petition for Russian Pavilion

Slightly OT, but speaking of never-built WS pavilions - there were preliminary notions to build a pavilion for Iran back in the late 1970s. I believe that the then-Iranian ambassador to the United States was invited to the preview center in an attempt to possibly procure some sort of...
