We are going in August. I've never been during this time of year, so am lurking on this post for ideas also. I know that I'm going to wear exercise clothes into the parks. Specifically, moisture wicking clothing. It's going to be too hot for jean shorts and cotton.

I took advice from these boards and bought an Overland Placer bag. It has been to Disney (among other places) several times. It is perfect. I can fit 2 bottles of water, phone, camera, travel size sunscreen and cards/money in it. After the water is gone, it is super light.

I would say the best advice I received when visiting for the first time was to take a break mid day. Go to the parks in the morning, go back to the hotel to rest/have pool time, then go back in the evening for the rest of the night. Also... you will not see everything in one trip. Figure out...

No, but looking into Costco Travel. They seem to have good prices on DCL.

I also think it is the threat of the cost of gas. I actually just booked airfare for July today (:cool1:). They are calling for gas prices to be $4 or $5 a gallon over summer so I don't want to risk it. I paid much more than I normally would at $250 each and that is at an airport 90 minutes...

I booked a 1BR standard at AKL Kidani 7/9 - 7/16 about a week ago. No issues whatsoever. So glad we got our first choice even though we planned much later than usual this year.

The best advice anyone ever gave me was to plan for downtime. Plan to go back to your room midday for a nap or even a quick swim in the pool. Also, give yourself a day or two to rest midweek. My family loves "pool days". My DD is 8 now and we still plan for downtime. The parks are awesome...

I personally think it is a great thing! While I love :love: going to WDW, I also want to travel outside of Florida. I want to take my daughter to different places and expose her to different cultures. As it is now, I plan for a non-WDW vacation every three years. Next one is planned for...

I also think SSR is the best resort for Quick Service. Between, AP and easy access to DD (I think Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express are on the plan). And, of course, the new Paddock QS. Not exactly a food court, but more options.

I just hope that the TS quality is returned to pre free dining standards. Even without free dining, there is no guarantee that the quality and variety of food will return since that would be cutting into profit margins.
