    Reservation wanted: 1 bedroom, Sept 24-Oct 2

Previous renter looking to rent another block of time. Stayed at OKW last time but willing to consider other locations as well. Looking for Sept 24 to Oct 2 timeframe but do have a little bit of flexibility if those dates are not available.

    Two questions for offsite stay...

I don't think I could handle the heat in May. I'm starting to sweat at 75 degrees up here in Alaska. The heat and humidity of Florida in May would just about kill me.

    Two questions for offsite stay...

I'm looking at attending a golf school in the Orlando area and doing a Disney trip. Orange County National golf course is the one I would like to attend and is fairly close to Disney from what I can tell. I'm looking at renting a house but have no idea what areas to look at that are close to...

Park observations and a note on the Candy Cane Inn

Loved the coziness of the Candy Cane Inn and the ability to walk to/from the parks. Very clean resort and the folks who work there are super friendly. I would recommend this place to anybody! We spent three days at the parks and came to the conclusion that WDW will be where we return to in...

    Car rental question

Heading to Disneyland tomorrow night :cool1: I'm flying into Long Beach but flying out of San Diego. My dilema is I don't know which car rental agency to use. I can get a SUV through National or Alamo for the same price. The only difference is the drop off location. National is right at...

Orlando Sentinel confirms ticket price increase

If Mickey's Philharmagic is justification for a price increase, WTH will the tickets go up to when EE is done? Even MS isn't worth the $10 increase for a multi day park hopper ticket. Disney is becoming less and less affordable. They think that a $2-3 increase isn't anything, but when...

Mythical Oscar Vote: PotC vs RotK

Juvenile and pretentious?? Appealing only to 13 year olds? That's being pretty harsh don't you think? Tolkien's trilogy is only one of the best selling works in literary history. Judging by the numbers from the movies, either there is a HUGE uncounted population of 13 year olds in...

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

I think you'd have to PROVE that one to me. That doesn't follow any of the rules I have to abide by for the site I run. As an ADMIN for an NFL team site, I deal with copyright issues on a daily basis. The NFL copyright issues only deal with images/pics/videos owned by the NFL itself...

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

Oh yeah!! We had a pretty good wind storm! Not as bad as last year, but still no fun. Schools were closed and everything (didn't hear about any train derailing, but it wouldn't surprise me if one did). I didn't loose mass amounts of shingles this time, but my ridge vent was almost completely...

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

I have one of the lions but it isn't anything special. They were laying down and it's hard to see them. Also the tour bus driver refused to slow down so I was forced to snap pics as she raced through the ride. Sorry :(

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

I use a Canon EOS digital Rebel. Most of my zoom shots were taken using a cheapie 80-210 Kodak zoom lense. I'm really not that happy with it since it seems to blurr the image a little at anything over 150mm. I plan on getting a Sigma 70-300 APO Super lense for it. That should be a lot...

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

The trip was fun. Loved staying at OKW!! No way will I stay in a resort room ever again room if/when we go back, I'm spoiled now ;) I was also very impressed with HIFS the two days we spent there and highly recommend it. Wet N Wild was closed, so we never got a chance to try it. Instead...

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

That isn't surprising I guess. Sounds like if they can't lay claim to all the rights for marketing, they would rather not "play ball" so to speak. Kind of foolish IMO, but typical for such a big company in today's profit above all else culture.

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

Here's a small version of the pic. This is shrunk by 75% and a lot of the clarity and detail have been lost. When it's viewed full size, it really is stunning!

Does WDW buy photos from visitors?

Not sure where to ask, so I'll use this forum. Does Disney ever buy photos of the theme parks if they are of exceptional quality? I know they have armies of photographers at the parks and they hire pros for a lot of their advertising shots, but I recently took a pic of one of the tigers at...
