    Brazilian Tour Groups

We ran into some groups over MLK weekend, but nothing like we saw in the summer time. We've run into groups just about every time we go. We have witnessed the huge groups moving at once, chanting in line, etc. We have not had an incident where the ride needed to be stopped but that doesn't...

Waterparks and beating the Heat in August

I think TL would be the more "relaxing" of the two, BB has the better slides. TL seems to have more shade and trees and the surf pool is far better than the wave pool at BB (imo). However, BB is more fun. Teamboat Springs is great and the kids area is really good. I'm jealous I can't go on...

    Touring Advice is Most Welcome

Agree with a previous poster about not commuting just to eat. If it fits the budget, rent a car. Other than MK, we often drive to Epcot, AK, Studios and we always drive to DTD and the water parks. Those take too long via bus. Your itinerary calls for more stamina than I have. We usually...

Where are your favorite places to eat?

San Angel Inn, Boma, Crystal Palace. Nod to The Earl of Sandwich for a less expensive meal but great sandwiches.

    Epcot Table Service/Lunch Suggestions

We like the San Angel Inn, particularly the atmosphere. Biergarten is fun and we will be eating at Marakesh (sp?) when we return this summer. We think the atmosphere is better than the food at Coral Reef. Lunch is generically cheaper.

    Help with Counter Meals

Our favorites: MK - Pecos Bills or Cosmic Rays. Used to be Columbia Harbor House but let's just say a bad tuna sandwich will taint your view a little. Epcot: Anyplace but Electric Umbrella or the QS at American Adventure. These aren't bad but you can get better and more interesting...

Are you a Disney Resort Snob?

On site snob: Yes Resort Level snob: Now I do prefer the Moderates over the Values. Don't dislike the Values but for our family, the Moderates have the right combo of room size, food court and cost. Now for our next trip, we're at the YC (discount rate) so I'll see if my opinion changes...

Pros and cons on ground floor rooms at POP?

We stayed on the ground floor at ASMu over a Spring Break and it was fine. We were off on the side in one of the Jazz buildings so no where near the pool. We "stayed" on the ground floor at POFQ once. We checked in, opened the door, and as I stepped into the room, the curled up branch (or so...

Does this look like too much??

Might be a bit too much running around, but at least you've got the breaks factored in. We love the water parks and would gladly spend the day there. Both are great and I really like the BB kids area. However, they'll be exhaused from a couple of hours at a water park. Probably just have to...

Disney Fan needs help w/ Universal

We've stayed on-site at Universal a couple of times and then moved over to a Disney resort. I'd really recommend staying on-site if it's doable money-wise. The resorts are very nice and the ability to use the express line on most of the rides is fantastic. You only need about two days to see...

    Chef Mickey Breakfast vs. Dinner

Both are loud and chaotic but I think breakfast is a little better. Like you said, it's hard to mess up eggs/bacon/waffles.

    Value???

We've stayed at every value resort and I'd go with Pop. From our experience, the buses were a little better and I thought the food court was a little better. I'm not sure if groups are steered more toward the All Stars but most of our stays there have been accompanied by groups, some better...

If you drive your car to WDW do you drive to the parks?

Except for MK, we will drive to the other parks, particularly the water parks. From POR, it will take minutes to the parks but it could take tens of minutes via the bus. Concur with the previous post about the hot car in July. We got in the car one time and my daughter just started...

    Do you use Bell Services?

I factor the tips into my vacation budget and use the bell services if we've rented a car (which we occasionally do). To me it's like parking at the airport, I can park miles away and lug everything on a shuttle bus to save a couple of bucks a day, or just pay to park close.

    Dining meltdown Help!!!!!

Love Boma, plus you can spend some time exporing the resort. We're not that big on Chef Mickeys, we like Crystal Palace better (we like Pooh and Tigger) and I think the food is better. I think someone else suggested Kona Cafe, that's a good place. We also liked the WHispering Canyon Cafe...

What is the slowest week in Disney?

We've been the first week in December and if swimming or the water parks aren't on the agenda, it's great. It didn't work every day but sometimes the lines were literally non-existent, you didn't stop walking until you got on the boat/car/etc (and these were for the MK Mountains). Plus...

Are these TS ADR's any good?

Cinderella’s Castle Breakfast - excellent if you have little girls and would be worth the two credits if you do. 50’s Prime Time Café’ Dinner - love the atmosphere, food is pretty good Whispering Canyon Café Dinner - food is really good, atmosphere not for shy and reserved folks but can be a...

What was a lesson learned on your trip to DW?

Second this comment. We spent 20-30 minutes one night talking to an Animal Lodge CM from a Rhino Sanctuary in Africa. Incredibly interesting to hear him talk about his home country, Africa, and the animals. That same trip we had dinner at the Biergarten and were seated with a new CM. He...

What was a lesson learned on your trip to DW?

    1) If you fly to MCO, fly direct, fly early, at least before the storms roll in. 2) If you use a rental car, book one with the cars in the airport garage, one less shuttle bus on your trip. 3) Arrive as early as possible. You stand in line all day, what's an extra 30 minutes waiting for...

    Value or Moderate

Someone mentioned it earlier, if you plan on spending a little bit of time at the resort, go for the moderate. The rooms are larger enough to make a difference and the pools are a bit better with waterslides and the like. The bus service was good at POFQ. The food courts are about the same...
