    Cam & Howard's Vow Renewal PJ -1/12/09 - WP&WH--p.98: TRIP REPORT BEGINS

Cam, I think you look absolutely lovely. They're all beautiful pictures, but I particularly like you in front of Magic Kingdom, and then one of the both of you in the mirror.

ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: June 2013

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, though I haven't heard any reports of it on the refrigerator posts (though people there are more concerned that they have one at all). We took a look at it, and it looked "professionally" done, you know, no one randomly tried to break something. So I'm...

ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: June 2013

Oh, I totally agree. I hope it's not something that they're really following through on, as everyone has different needs. We would always turn ours all the way up. I'll still keep looking each time we go, crossing my fingers!

Official Poly construction update thread **updated video page 103(2/17/15)**

Thank you! I called the normal Disney reservations number (407) 939-5277, and then I called the Polynesian's number, which is supposed to be connected to the main call center (it's funny, because when I called, it really sounded like the Polynesian, so they must be doing some interesting...

Our fridge's knob was un-adjustable a couple weeks ago. They removed the part that you can move back and forth. We figured it was part of the replacing refrigerator project, as we were always able to adjust them before. The fridge was not nearly as cold we would like.

Official Poly construction update thread **updated video page 103(2/17/15)**

It's hard to tell because the Polynesian did wonderful things for us both times. So is it their standard or was it because we were celebrating? But we received special, fresh handmade leis and a blessing (we didn't get those on our honeymoon), congratulatory pictures from Mickey a couple...

Official Poly construction update thread **updated video page 103(2/17/15)**

I haven't uploaded the pictures to my website yet, but to get them up ASAP for you to look at, I made them public on my Google+ account. Try this. If it doesn't work, I could email them to you. I called and faxed, explaining that it was our five-year wedding anniversary, and we spent our...

Official Poly construction update thread **updated video page 103(2/17/15)**

We just stayed in 3914! When we got there, only the short fencing was up, but by the time we left, the chainlink temporary fencing was up, and it was blocked with cover-up. Being up on the third floor, we could still see everything just fine; there were no obstructed views from the fencing...

Yes, we used it everyday for the past week, including today.

Chain-linked fences going up right now behind Tokelau. The construction view request cast some magic. They gave us the very last room in the building (on one end), so we have a view of the lagoon, Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, and the construction! I almost cried when we looked out our...

ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: June 2013

In all the times I've visited Disney World, I've had my room request fulfilled a whopping one time (at least it was our honeymoon!). :) No hopes up or down here. :) Though I'd like to think my construction view request has a slight chance of at least raising an eyebrow! ;) I'm inclined to...

I had read that and know about the call center. I checked multiple times, multiple methods of contact, and I received the same answer each time, different people. I figure it can't hurt. The only thing it does is waste a few minutes of your own time.

I actually called the Polynesian two weeks ago and was told faxes are accepted and should be sent ten days prior.

Ha ha! I figure I'll get a nicer room that way. :)

Not weird at all! Or I'm weird with you. When I faxed in my request last week, I asked for "Construction View". My husband just graduated from college this year in Mechanical Design, and he's enthralled with watching things be built and torn down. He thought it'd be great to have a front row...

Any other Non-FP+ testers feeling grouchy?

If you go through and read a lot of the posts from people who have used Magic Bands, you might not be so "grouchy" :) about it. A lot of people, especially those who have split stays or more than just two people in their travel party are having a lot of problems with the Magic Bands. I know...

Changing dates because of Touring Plans?

It really depends on the dates. If you're looking at the last week in June, the numbers would be higher because it's close to the 4th of July, which is a notoriously busy time. But toward the end of July, the numbers should be lower. I checked TouringPlans, and I am surprised that all of...

Booked FP+ but can't customize Magic Bands

If you've already done online check-in, modify your check-in. That has been triggering the Magic Bands portion for most people who haven't been able to get to it otherwise. If you modify, and it still doesn't work, try logging out and logging back in.

Observation on MagicBands from my recent trip

You might want to refer to the FAQ thread to find out most of the answers to your questions. But I can tell you that right now, during the "beta testing" of FP+, they are allowing normal FastPasses on top of FP+; however, in the FAQ that Disney has on their website, it specifically states...

Observation on MagicBands from my recent trip

I have checked for FP+ times during Extra Magic Hours (both evening and mornings), and those times were not offered. I also saw late times for Magic Kingdom, but it turned out that the park was open until midnight for everyone on that particular night.
