    Splash mountain still closed?

Thanks for the update. :) We were supposed to head there this weekend but had to reschedule for tomorrow. Were the crowds out of control? The wait times on my ipod seemed ok but now I'm wondering how accurate they are since they it was giving me a 35 minute wait for Splash Mountain which isn't...

    Splash mountain still closed?

I was told that it's still closed but for whatever reason my Disney app has given me wait times for the past two days (although 3 days ago it was saying that it was closed).

    Splash Mountain closed?

The WDW website is showing that it will be closed until Feb 27th, which my iphone app stated yesterday. Today it's showing a wait time of 15 minutes yet the website still says it's closed. Anybody know what the truth is? TIA!

    I'm in tears...

I don't know where you're getting your information from but I just checked several sources online and they all said Varicella is contagious until blisters are crusted over. Here are a few: http://kidshealth.org/kid/ill_injure/sick/chicken_pox.html...

It is also dangerous to expose pregnant women who are not immune as the illness can harm a fetus.

Have accounts been hacked a.k.a what the heck is in the drinking water lately?

:sad1: I'm so sorry your husband's feelings were hurt. There were some very holier than thou nasty remarks in that thread. It's amazing how a Disney message board...the "happiest place on Earth" can bring out such vitriol in people. I find it rather disgusting. :sad2: Anyway, I said it in that...

NYC help for a family with young children

http://www.serendipity3.com/ $300 for a weekend? Including a hotel? That would be pretty impossible, I believe. NYC is so freakin expensive. The food, parking, entertainment, can't say much about the hotels as I've never stayed in one but I can only imagine....If you do your research I'm sure...

NYC help for a family with young children

True! While I didn't grow up in the city, I attended college in Manhattan. It wasn't until after DH and I were married with kids and back in our home town that we started to really take advantage of all the city has to offer.

NYC help for a family with young children

I can't really help when it comes to places to stay and such as we live about an hour away so we only do day trips. I just wanted to say that NYC can be so much fun with a family! Some of our favorite things to do are go to The Museum of Natural History http://www.amnh.org/, The Met...

I just don't know what to do! Re: stroller

I have a Maclaren double stroller that I've brought to WDW many times and I've never had a problem with it in the parks or the airport. I'll be bringing it for my two younger ones this time around who are 3 and 13 months. :) ETA: I wouldn't personally bring two bulky strollers with me. I have...

Shocked by availability for ADRS in March

I had a similar experience. We just booked a trip the end of Presidents week and I was able to get the days/times we wanted for Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, and 50s Primetime without any issue. Two of those ADRs were for 6 people and one was for 12! I was so surprised!

How many more days until YOUR WDW trip?

    Disney with 3 kids

I concur! The sling has been a lifesaver for me. I also use it for discrete nursing when I'm walking around the parks. :)

The Give a Day Thread~Share Your Experience

I've had a similar experience. We were turned down for two opportunities (they had already filled the spots and this was on Jan 2nd!). There really don't seem to be many opportunities near us. Most are at least 1 1/2-2 hours away. I'm a little bummed as I thought it would be a good experience to...

First WDW trip as a pregnant mommy!?!?

Congrats! :) I've done Disney multiple times while pregnant...everywhere from 8 weeks along to about 34. Each trip was fantastic! I think the hardest part about doing it in the first trimester is the morning sickness and needing to pee constantly. Just make sure you stay hydrated and be...

Stroller for 6.5 an 5.5 yo?

I bring a stroller for my younger two (who are now 1 and 3). My 7 and 6 year old walk. They haven't used a stroller since they were maybe 4 (and that was only at WDW) and they always did fine. I remember the first time heading to the Magic Kingdom without the double stroller for the older two. I...

    ID needed for flying infant?

A copy should suffice, but definitely bring one if you're flying with a lap child. I've always been asked to show a copy of my child's birth certificate upon checking in. Actually, we usually fly Southwest and upon showing them your child's birth certificate they actually provide you with a...

    Disney with 3 kids

We've never had an issue with ADRs and there are 6 of us. Come to think of it, more often than not we visit the parks with other people. For our upcoming trip I booked ADRs for 12 of us sans problem. I did get the whole "we may need to split up your party" schpiel but that's yet to happen to us...
