I am starting a fund to buy my own wife (HallsInTheKingdom) a spell checker for spelling my name wrong on the FE list. ........or maybe I'll revoke her free pass!
First time I've checked out this thread. It must mean I'm getting excited about the cruise! Good to see everybody else getting...
I'm with you, late dinner sucks! Talk to the maitre d' and he can get it changed. You may have to deal with it the first night, but they can usually find a spot for you. Been there, done that.
My wife sailed pregnant with our 2nd child and had no problems. Talk to your doctor. You are the only one who can make the final decision. As with anything, if you look hard enough for horror stories, you will find them.
IMO this is one of the old cruise standards that should be updated along with strict dress codes. I'm not on vacation to meet new people or impress anyone.
Not to mention that you have to wait for most of your table to finish a course before you can move on to the next one. It takes...
IMO a movie is far better way to spend your time than getting off the ship. I don't think I've ever been there and didn't feel slimy.
Atlantis is nice (and expensive), but the water park is too much sun if you are going to be at CC the next day.
On our last DCL cruise we sat at a table with a boy that had a lot of food allergies. The staff went above and beyond to make food that he could eat. They made him a egg free cake for his birthday (it might have been sugar free too). He shared with the table. Man, did it taste terrible, but...

Lets all give thanks that we live in America and get to have an opinion. Sometimes it takes a debate about dress code on a cruise with Mickey Mouse to realize how lucky or spoiled we are.
I'm really not trying to be a pest, but can you tell me why? (Other than the swimwear, too short outfits, and inappropirate stuff.) Just trying to get another perspective.
All Cruise companies should amend their policy to read "dress shorts are allowed". I'm on vacation in a tropical climate. I should be allowed to be comfortable. I should be allowed to wear a collared shirt and dress shorts to dinner (except at formal night).
Last year we went on a carnival...
We are cruising with friends and we informed them the price had gone down. They called DCL and someone named "Jason" gave them a nonsense story about not issuing credits until December 18 and was rude. They called back 10 min later and talked to another rep. The price was adjusted with no...
We have been on two Carnival cruise and enjoyed them (not as much as DCL). I think the service was about the same. There is not much for kids to do on Carnival except the pool/waterslides or the kids program.
I have also been looking into RC and just like any other, some like it and some...
We did a 3 day in Sept 07 with our 3 yr old and had a great time. We did not feel rushed.
We are going on a 4 day in Nov 09. The only reason we are going on a 4 day is the price was good. I wish I could afford a 5 or 7 day, but they are out of my price range. I'm waitng for DCL to come...
