I've done this show a while ago and the best part was the kids were entertained throughout the whole show and they loved the idea of eating with their fingers. Not much fun for us but the main thing were the kids loved it.

I would not walk it. You may have measured it to be 4 miles but I'm pretty sure it is a lot longer. If walking along the beach there isn't much to see along that route.

Monterey Aquarium is nice. Half way to LAX is Hearst Castle and Solvang. It is a perfect rest stop. May be a boring for young kids though.

I've seen Ka and Mystere. Mystere is more of a circus acrobatics and I liked it more than Ka. I also have a friend that has seen the Beatles show and they liked it so much they went again that same week, but if you don't know the Beatles' songs (who doesn't) then you may not like it.

Busch Gardens is great in all categories except temperature and humidity which they cannot do anything about. Find a month where the temperature is low but not too low.
