We took the 7:40 Amtrak Cascades from Seattle to Vancouver last summer.... It was a nice, easy trip. We thought the train station in Seattle was kind of grungy and disorganized, but we did fine with it. I'd suggest paying the extra $19 per person (or whatever it is) to ride business class...
