10 reasons why DLP is better than MKP

I will admit, being from Los Angeles County I have been going to DLP since I was a year old... having been an estimated 400+ times. MKP I have spent two week long trips at (and the three other Florida parks) once in 2004 and just a couple of weeks ago. This is not about DLR v WDW; just the two...

So WDW crowd level very different than DL first week of Dec?

I just got back from a four day hopper at WDW and the crowds are insane compared to DLR. My advice, if you have tickets already purchased, download the app and reserve fast passes for the really high demand attractions. It will save you untold hours.

Good by CALIFORNIA, and Golden Gate.

Ya the original idea for the DL parking lot in Anaheim was an Epcot "West" but that fell out of favor and the California theme came to fruition. I always felt like they didn't do enough with the California theme but a different time period would have been cool, as really with the original...

    Parking at DLR

Just head down the 5 and follow the signs, don't even worry about it!

Good by CALIFORNIA, and Golden Gate.

Wouldn't it be even weirder to have a California-based theme park in another state other than California? California is a huge, huge swath of real estate and unless you are spending extended time in CA and traveling hundreds of miles you really can't just see it. This is one of the reasons why...

Most noticeable difference between Disnelyand and Disneyworld...?

Sure size is obviously different but I would say the lack of MATTERHORN in FL is most striking as it dominates the landscape in Disneyland. Also, the lack of New Orleans Square in FL is huge, at least to me!

    Best hotel choice?

Ya it just depends on what you want to spend. If $$ is not an issue than GC can't be beat IMO.

Should I try Tower of Terror if I a wimp?

Ya just go for it, you will love it in all likelihood. If you are struggling with the endevour just simply find a child that is in your 'elevator' and watch them having strees free fun; it will remind you that it is just a kid's ride!

DS-12 wants to be a Jungle Cruise Skipper when he grows up

For the right personality type the Jungle Cruise "speiler" can be one of the most creative and fun jobs in the park. You really get a chance to be an individual and put your own stamp on it. In many ways it is a sort of stand up comedian occupation. Encourage him, it can only help a kid to be...

    Is Captain EO kid-friendly?

I don't think it was ever intended to scare children but that doesn't mean it can't have that effect on a young child. Check out youtube and when you go sit by the end so if your kiddy starts to feel scared you can easily and freely exit.

Can I ride the submarines if I get clausterphobic?

If you felt uneasy in the past you probably will now too. Try the viewing room and avoid the long line, it really is overrated anyways!

“What’s Next” for Disneyland Resort! event summary

It would be fun to ride Star Tours on the last day in July. The purists will be out in force... and with 'the force!' One last chance to see the giant magnifying glass from Adventures Through Inner Space in the space depot!

    Turkey Legs

You will either love them or loath them but there is only one way to know. Also, you dont have to eat it like a caveman... you can sit down and pull it apart wih a fork or with your hands on a plate. I think if you are on a several days in the parks trip that you only do every so often then...

    Whats bigger?

One of the things about MK is that they learned so much about logistics and space management from DL and it's limitations that with the open spaces of central Florida they were able to make allowances that were not possible whithin the confines of Anaheim. MK makes more 'sense' with wider...

Anyone else think Pizza Port should be Pizza Planet?

The usage of the word "port" might be a tribute to a project Walt Disney proposed in 1965 called "Space Port", which would eventually become Space Mountain, opening in May 1977. Thought that was interesting and is exactly one of the things about Disneyland Park I love the most; the endless...

Anyone else think Pizza Port should be Pizza Planet?

But isn't it more of a port than a planet? I suppose planet has a better ring but I would be happy if the actual pizza was a little better! What would really make me happy would be a return of a classic TML attraction like the Adventure Through Inner Space or The Flight To The Moon or it's...

    Tomorrowland Was Evacuated Tonight

I'm honestly shocked DL has never had an international or domestic terrorist incident being that it is such an obvious target... and such a symbol of American culture. I think they do a good job in balancing the need to provide oversight and safety with keeping the morale and perceptions of the...

    TOT Incident on News

Terrible situation but unfortunately even if they identified the assailant, barring any other additional testimony or evidence they wouldn't have anything enough to even get an arrest. I wish her the best and that she can enjoy the parks again soon. However I do not hope Disneyland reacts...
