Planning a trip to universal august 2024, but would love to stay close to the beach and maybe make an hour or so drive to universal. What do you recommend? 5 adults, 6 kids... So we would rent a home. Maybe something not to far from the beach that won't financially kill me?

DVC, glad you mentioned that or I would have forgotten! I dont do souveniers. I usually buy things at the Disney Store prior and give the kids small things from there each day. We would give them $25 each for a souvenier of their choosing, thats it. Cooking in the Villa sounds like a great...

Thinking of taking 3 kids next summer ages will be 21,17,15, plus my husband and I. Havent been in 7 years (GASP!) Thoughts on most inexpensive way to do this? We will drive, and prefer onsite but open to offsite if needed. TIA!

I understand. I keep wanting to go solo but feel a little guilt, even though the only child at home is 15 and doesn't "get it". IDK...maybe next year?
