Scotland Meets Thread (formerly Scotland: A Brave Adventure)

Hello, for those of you who have been on this trip already, can you please tell me how the day at Loch Ness went? I am taking my son on this trip in June 2014 (he will be 7). I have already called and talked to ABD about his age and I know that he will be too young to go canoeing on Loch Ness...

The big slide at Contemporary - height requirements?

Is there a height requirement for children going down this slide alone? My son is 4.5 yrs old and 38 inches tall. If he isn't tall enough to go alone, can I slide with him? He will be so sad if he can't go on that slide!

Hi! Total newbie here! We are leaving in a few days for our first ever stay at Contemporary. Normally we stay at WL but wanted to try something new. Anyway I have a few questions for all of you experts: We are staying in the cheapest rooms, so I assume that is the building away from the...

Orlando weather - what are you wearing to WDW now?

Looks like Orlando will be in the 70's next week while we are there, but I know that 70 in FL is different than 70 in MI. What is everyone wearing at WDW lately? Shorts during the day? Or pants? Short or long sleeve shirts? Jackets needed at night? Sunscreen needed? Thanks in advance!

$125 for a checked bag on American Airlines. Highway robbery!

Your daughter doesn't plan on doing any laundry for 3 weeks? And really needed all of those electronics? I cannot imagine even WANTING to lug around a suitcase that heavy. Sounds like a good lesson learned for your daughter.

My "Game On" offer was for rack rates. What the heck?

Yeah, I figured it was 1 of 2 things: 1. Just a "reminder" for me to book my vacation. OR 2. Disney was hoping that I am stupid enough to fall for an offer for rack rates. Sorry Disney, but this ain't my first rodeo. I'll hold out for a PIN code. :rolleyes1

My "Game On" offer was for rack rates. What the heck?

So I decided to sign up for a free planning DVD and save some vacation offers online and sign up for emails, all in hopes of getting one of the elusive PIN codes. I got a "Game On" offer via email with package code KS5. The rates quoted in the email looked to be the same as rack rates, so I...

Need hotel advice near SW - has to have a nice pool

Can anyone recommend a nice (non-Disney) hotel near Sea World (within 5 miles) that has a really nice pool that a 4-year-old would enjoy and wouldn't break the bank? I am hoping to spend around $100-$150 per night. 100% smoke-free rooms is a plus too. Thanks!

SW 2nd day free - if I buy tickets now, can I use in April 2011?

I don't want the 2nd Day Free promo to pass me by but we aren't going to SW until April 2011. I don't see an expiration date on the online tickets but want to be sure. Do you know if these tickets expire on 12/31/10, or after 1 year, or never? :confused3
