I've been thinking about this recently since my next vacation will be at one of these places. Vegas would usually not be such a draw, but since I have never been there before, I figure I need to see the strip once in my life.
So, are there any other specifics showing Disney and Vegas...
I only had one trip with a significant other, so we really didn't experience the whole gamut of romantic things at Disney, but what I defintely remember was the opportunity to hold hands on the more tame rides, where you're entertained but not enthralled enough to forget about who's hand you're...
Hey, if you want to see something really neat, go to Google maps, zoom into Disney World, and select the "Street View" option. You can get a good sense of what their roads look like, and might even save yourself some time if you've never come in by car before.
If you're like me, even looking...
I agree with the resort visiting idea. Especially those with a monorail stop - taking a loop around the monorail, complete with shopping and dining excursions at each stop, is a hidden, free treasure.
I also look for rides with indoor or covered queues - POTC, Spaceship Earth, Stitch's...
Well, metal is kinda different from anything Disney, but no one has to be completely one-track, so it's cool.
I liked the 90's stuff - Metallica, mostly. I also watch Metalocalypse cause it's, you know, brutal. :lmao:
Hey, I came in, started posting in the singles forum, and didn't even see there was a place over here for an intro post. Hi! I am Ken, an engineer from Huntsville, AL. I am not planning for a trip right now, but I hope to be going very soon.
I would like to amend that this needs to be true everywhere, and at on almost constant basis. If you can improve the experience without the guest knowing exactly what has been changed (say, slightly more realistic motions in an animatronic character in a ride), then I am all for it.
Speaking of weather, we had hail and flooding here last weekend. Is it bad to be excited and enjoying the bad weather?
Living in a tornado alley here, I actually like the sound of the tornado sirens. :yay:
What rides at WDW should stay the same forever? Which ones need huge updates ASAP? Which ones need rolling back to previous editions?
Let's hear it!
IMO:
- No more castle additions like the 25th anniversary cake. The gilded characters flying around for Wishes is....borderline.
- Never...
Newb here - unfortunately, the one store in my city closed. It's not as bad as it would have been if it were a store pre-TCS. I hardly went in there anymore since the book and CD section were decimated in the past few years.
I guess that is what the internet is for. :worried:
I guess I always smile and say hello, and am open to hugs. Not that I go rushing up for them, but I know a good number of characters that seek hugs of their own from me. Maybe it's because I am tall?
Anyway, I am sure the kids who light up at the sight of Mickey don't want a big ol' overgrown...
Wonderful what-if thread!
IF I were to do a solo vacation (not saying I would yet, just if), I would probably go on all the walking trails outside of the parks. There's just so much resort that is landscaped for audiences that is so rarely seen except by those who go looking for it. And I...
